Geeezzz did somebody leave the ark open or is cancer on sale. So many new patients today... Depressing......
 
I still have The Run (PC) in shrink wrap on my shelf... Worth the effort of opening and installing? PRetty graphics? Any redeeming qualities? I'm not a big racing game fan, but I do enjoy the odd spin - I read The Run was okay due to its story-driven gameplay?

The story is bollocks to be honest, but I wouldn't say it gets in the way. It does look great and the racing, of which there is plenty, is highly enjoyable. Cross country, gaining positions and making up time while dodging an avalanche and driving against a train in a tunnel make for a good time. Again, not the best racer in history, but well worth one trip at least.
Why everyone hates it so much, I have no idea - and I'm a picky bastard with games.

I played the one that I won here. I'd say it's maybe worth one play through. It's not that great, but it's an interesting idea. I found the characters a bit annoying, and the story is pretty damn cheesy.

It has the frostbite engine so grphics is good, and I found it entertaining for 1 playthru
