Looks like the specs for watch dogs is out and it's bad news for 32 bit gamers
The official system requirements for Watch Dogs are quite impressive. However, it’s about time to reinforce our old PCs in order to enjoy this high-end game.

Ubisoft has 3 different recommendations, Minimum, Recommended and Ultra Specifications, plus it will no longer work on your 32 bit Windows as it’ll only support 64 bit systems now.

Base Specification

Operating System: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8
Note that we only support 64 bit OSs.
DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM Dual Layer
Hard Drive Space: 20 GB
Sound: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest Drivers
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for multiplayer mode
Minimum Specification

GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM
CPU: Quad core
RAM: 4GB

Looks like this is one I'll have to play on my PS3 instead - requirements are a bit too steep for my rig. :(
 
I think I can do ultra, depending on how important the eight core CPU is, I only have quad code.
 
Wow that's some high end specs needed... :eek: at least I'll make recommended.

So this is one of the real first "next-gen" games, and if that is going to be the standard spec sheet for games to come, I'll probably have to upgrade in the near future...
 
An Ubisoft rep said via twitter that these specs are much higher than what you'll need for the final launch game. Somehow these got leaked, and are definitely not considered optimized. If you look on some of the other gaming sites, you'll find a link to the tweet, I'm too lazy to go find it myself :D
 
haha! i have to laugh! when a game is launched on console everybody is like: "boo! where is my PC version?". then a PC version has some steep requirements and everyone is like: "boo! will rather get it on console!".

if we want "next-gen" games we need "next-gen" PC's to run them, we all knew this was coming...

Really? Are you sure there are the same "everyones"?
 
nah, its not the same "everyones" :) but the split between wanting games on PC and console becomes more obvious. i still find it funny :) i guess i laugh easily :P
 
Well I'll be at recommended using these specs so I'm happy. Plus the 64 bit requirement had to come before next gen so that doesn't bother me. Plus the PS4 has 8gb ram so surely your pc needs 8 at a minimum. I'm pretty sure a 7K upgrade will be awesome compared to a 7K console.

What !!!!!!!!!!!!!! hmmmm for the first time in a long time My machine doesn't meet maximum requirements

My spec is below the min requirements :(
 
Thanks for sharing Eugene. I am starting to see a trend in "next-gen" game's specs. Seems as if the death of 32 bit operating systems are upon us. Also they don't mention HDD space, but I am pretty sure it will also be in the same field as COD or BF4.
