Wonder why with this content insurance, they wanna take away certain items and try fix them :confused: Surely that defeats the purpose of you paying them so much damn money every month :mad:

Well, depending on your poilicy wording, they may have the right to try and fix it first, and if they can get it back into a working condition, their obligation is done. If they can't, or don't want to bother fixing it, they will replace the item, which they are then entitled to take away and on which they will make some money through salvage.
 
I don't care if they take it away for salvage after replacement ... I'm worried that they do repairs and 2 weeks down the line, the item fucks out again and then gets repaired again ..... ad infinitum
 
MH, assessors are not employees of the insurance companies, they're consultants. Their fees are based on the amount by which they can lower the claim. ie they're looking for any way to lessen the cost to the insurer.

No. It's also their job to find out which items are overinflated, and to give the actual value, as your policy fine print probably has it somewhere in there that that's the amount the insurance required to pay. Overinflating just means higher premiums.
