Do you try and complete gaming achievements? How far do you go?

I try and do as many ach's in a game as i can i only need 3 assignments in BF3 and i'm done with all of them and on my xbox i try and do every ach as i play a game but some of those things just don't wanna be done.

i have complete ach's on wwe 10,11 and 12 and halfway through forza 3,4 and wwe2K14

I struggle to get into the achievement hunting mode the moment I finish a game. I'd love to get a 100% achievement in PS3 but I just don't have the time... :)

I will only go for 100% if I really enjoy a game. Otherwise I don't waste my time.

Says the guy with 69 Platinum Trophies. :p

Only have 2 plats myself. One for Borderlands, which I went out of my way to get since I loved the game so much and the other for Red Faction: Armageddon. When I finished the game for the second time I needed something like 5 trophies for the plat so I decided I might as well do a third playthrough and go for it.

I'm always trying to get all the achievements, but never manages and give up in the end. I tell myself I'll try later but that never happens. So I've got no games at 100%, but a few where I need only a few achievements.

The last game I tried with was Skyrim and I got bored quite quickly. Just not enough motivation after the storyline is over.

The main consensus here is that people don't about 100% completion of their games.. But for someone like me with mild OCD it pisses me that dev's would exploit people like this... :/

Multiplayer trophies really grind my gears, especially in games like Uncharted. You basically can't "finish" the game 100% unless you go online and play against a bunch of people and complete insane multiplayer tasks. This especially sucks, because Uncharted is not the multiplayer-esque game like Battlefield or CoD.

One strange tick I have is, I need one, a single chievo, for Fallout 3 (Incl. ALL DLC) and I'll 100% it. I'm afraid to get it, because then I'm done with the game.

Anybody else feel this way about certain games?

Achievements are often a nice pointer to more fun, challenging or immersive ways to play the game.

My next achievement hunt will be to get "army of four" in Xcom on Ironman impossible. Finished that game one too many times already

I did get 100% for single player SC2 WoL. Some of those were actually fun... Like doing a mission with certain restrictions

the last game i completed 100% was Skyrim and then a few months later they decided to bring out expansions :(

I'm not sure it i lost my platinum trophy.

Personally I couldn't be arsed about achievements.
Ok I once went achievement whoring in ACII and NFS Hot Pursuit, but that's the extent of it.
And Forza Horizon.

Achievements are a bonus Sometimes I will go out of my way to get the rarer ones. I usually everything i can find to do in a game so i end up getting a large portion of achievements but like i said i'm more bugged about rare ones for my steam showcase ;) not that anyone actually looks at it :P

I would usually comeplete the game and then maybe... If I am up to the challenge I will try to take on some achievements... Except for that one that no one will ever do in the stanley parable (legit not possible)

I don't play for achievements, just for the love of the art of gaming. But it would be nice to complete atleast one. I have completed prototype 2 to 900g though. Lego games are easy if you want to complete them. Hope I can help.

Don't know how many of you here play wow but i actually have the "It's over 9000" achievement i think before i stopped playing i just hit over 12K and might be planning on starting again............maybe

LOL

is there really an achievement like that!?

I just watched we are legion and learnt all about that meme

To be quite honest though, achievements aren't really achievements anymore. Most the games I've played, you get achievements for damn near anything.

"Achievement Unlocked: Watched opening Cinematic"
"Achievement Unlocked: Completed Tutorial"

To me, an achievement should be just that. An achievement. Some damn near hard to accomplish, but you got it done. Like beating Gears of War on Insane mode. Now that... that was well earned achievement.

I stopped Plat hunting because this is exactly what started happening to me. I have 48 Plats atm but haven't gotten a single one in the past two years (Except for Skyrim). It started ruining gaming for me, now I play a game for as long as It's fun and then move on. A lot of games that I don't have Plats for are some of my favs and I replay them but never bother with the trophies.

Gaming has been a lot more enjoyable for me since.
yeah i like to get achievements but dont go out of my way to get them
