This might be the most serious conversation that has taken place in TK

Pretty much. Sometimes the TK does go all serious. Other times, it is about as comprehensible as a squirrel speaking French in a washing machine.

EDIT: Or any regular French person in general.

is it just me or are the reviews on the gamespot website, really schitte

Not just you. I have a difficult time with many review websites these days. To the point where I actually just ignore them completely and ask a bunch of randoms what they thought. And by randoms, I mean TK "whistling:

I agree. I do read some reviews, but what helps me more in deciding on buying games are gameplay videos. Most games I've bought was due to gameplay videos I watched and thought to myself that I would enjoy that.

Same here. Even if a review is bad I can usually tell from the trailers & gameplay vids whether I will enjoy it, and very seldom have I regretted a purchase which I based off of my trailer impressions.

Ja, the variation of sites that are synonymous with reviews vary too much now. I have no clear idea what critic opinions are any more. Also, I don't really care for critics either. A quick Google and watching a YouTube video can give you a really good idea what a game is like and if it would be something that appeals to you.

You can often get a good if somewhat cynical opinion of a game from the Zero Punctuation reviews at The Escapist. At least they are good for a laugh

This is the reason why I've been watching a lot of Titanfall videos, as I feel that critics are not going to be objective and fair when scoring this game, especially seeing as it is a big AAA title.
