Official Battlefield 4 Thread

Two things, anyone else getting annoyed with those large ass dirty orange comments posted by admin or whomever about this or that guys kill? Annoys me because it messes with aim and vision. Not on all servers, found it on two.

Might be just me, but a few times that I fired my SRAW and thought I'd hit the target, I got not hit report, either the HUD x or points for possible damage. Perhaps any else got that? Like I said, might be just me aiming like a noob.

No i have had the Hit thing also bug out specially when shooting with a shotgun point blank. and you know you can hide the chat box right :p
 
You mean turning off chat popup will turn off those hideous orange messages? Like to keep an eye open for messages, esp from team and squad since I'm not using TS. (3G bleh) Anyway, very few server use it.

Nah, if the messages appear in chat, there's no way to remove them without hiding the whole chat.

I'm pretty skilled and don't dive behind a rock before taking a shot at a guy in the road with his back to me for e.g. I also don't take cover to avoid being spotted, mostly to avoid being shot.

Not EVERY kill, but pretty often yeah. Otherwise I wait the 7seconds it takes for the spot to go away.
Virtually any flanking manoeuvre, successful back rage. People do it.
 
Hey guys, just a little confused, I know about the hiding options for chat, but I was referring to this:

I'll try hiding the chat screen next time I'm on that server. But, I know, its a free server, shouldn't complain, just suggesting that it might be a slight hindrance to some ppl.

That is pretty annoying and it always gets spammed just when your performing some epic back rage :mad:
 
Some interesting bits.

As an engineer, I like killing any type of vehicle, but the anti heli mine might make the heli more of a challenge. Might make the heli too hard and as the guy said, unbalanced. But, I must add, ppl complain a lot about getting killed by AA missiles. Mostly, I think those ppl dont understand how exactly a heli should operate in war. Its not the type of craft that swoops in from high, that to me is like shooting fish in a barrel, I dont enjoy killing those heli's, thats just bread and butter. The truelly tasty bit is a pilot that hugs the earth, swoops around obstacles, goes around buildings, etc. Thats fun, I donny how many times I've killed a heli with a sraw simply because he was flying in a straight line.

Also, 3 gren shooter? Its gonna make Metro and that other indoor map horrible to play.

Like the specualation of the carrier type game mode. Sounds fun! (only started playing BF online with a little of BF BC2 really got into BF3, so I missed BF 2142.

I'm certainly going to get premium end of the month.

Is it just me, or is the hit registration even worse now with the new patch?

Either way, I had a totally awesome moment this weekend in BF4. I was flying in a Heli as a passenger and dropped a few C4 packs out of the heli, right onto an enemy heli below us and killed it! lmao - BEST. MOMENT. EVER.

I also had a 15-0 kill streak in an attack jet this weekend. My flying skills have improved a lot. I'm now playing as a sniper, but purely to unlock the guns. I've done almost everything else. I don't know why people moan about snipers. It's definitely not the easiest role to play. But I think many sniper players tend to sit on the roof and camp, instead of helping their team. It IS possible to play as a sniper and still cap points. But yeah, don't tell anyone playing dawn-breaker or Siege of Shanghai. The amount of roof campers ALWAYS costs their team the win.

Haha that sounds awesome! I hope you got footage of that! I once was on a building in Siege of Shanghai and I threw a grenade down to the ground, watched it roll 10 metres and come to a rest perfectly next to an enemy's feet :D

Well i only have played sniper so far in BF4 i play a class to unlock everything i can on it before i have to move to another class. And you have to be a moving sniper kill, move, kill, move never stay in the same place after a kill. but on hardcore i like playing snipers because 70% of the time it's a one shot kill and yes i have also experienced the hit reg issues specially on the shotguns.

I will be playing it then from 13:00 when i wake up :D cant wait to get my hands on the DAO12 :D it's not the MK3A1 but it's close and those heli mines are gonna piss some pilots off i think :p

Yeah the heli mines come with Naval Strike.

Also, when I used the DAO12 on Canals TDM in BF3, I would always get called a noob.

My excuse - it's a South African shotgun and I'm representing our country haha
 
If it is in the game it's all good, if you don't like someones use of a weapon or kit why don't you just go buy your own server and restrict the use of it and stfu
