Official Battlefield 4 Thread

I'm not using a Telcom line, on 3G and I saw and was in a few servers that crashed and one or two server with no unlocks. Some guys were complaining about it on the DICE BF4 forum.

This one guy went ape, dewd had like donnu how many hours game time and ppl were asking how he could swear and go gaga. But I sort of get where he is coming from. Last night, just wanted to play after a crappy week...then this. Luckily I didnt go mental, just closed the game and played something else. But yeah, ppl get frustrated.

I'm usually the idiot silhouetted against the horizon, oblivious to incoming fire trying to down that damned helicopter! :D
 
Weird how you have those nights where u are like Rambo. I think I downed 3 choppers in one evening by just reflex shooting a RPG at a chopper, and downing some more pilots who fly in straight lines with a SRAW.

Oh and again, I must say, I prefer the hardcore servers, wish there were more. Game feels so much better without the mini map.

Also, I've gone to the dark side....got my first recon service star. But thats mostly out of frustration for rooftop and general campers. Play a game, get pwned several times, spawn as recon and kill the little camper. I dont mind recon players in general as they serve a purpose as does any class does, but those okes that pitch a tent the whole map...

I've noticed that my GPU idles when I play BF4 and thus get very poor performance on my GTX760. Other games I get great performance.

I was lucky and saw the today, now I'm plinking away at high detail now! Just set the Power Management Mode to Prefer Max Performance from Adaptive. Solved moerse issues for me.

Two Words:
Agressive Recon.
Ditch the long range scope for a RDS/4X scope.
Get into the action and don't stay in one place.
SKS's and SRR-61 are your new best friends.

When I was playing I managed to get 7 Service Stars on my Recon before I retired from BF completely.
 
So, with my new MiniMonster capable of maxing out BF4 and my copy lying in wait now for 8 months, I decided it's the ideal time to install.

I played the campaign for 30 minutes and got bored, so decided to fire up MP. I got my ass royally handed to me. Any tips foe a complete n00b?

Yup, it got overly soapy melodramatic. I enjoyed the BF3 sp much more. ffs, I'm a goody two shoes and I would have shot that hero by the 2nd chapter just to quiet his bleeding heart!

I'm not the hiding type. My guild in Guild Wars 2 used to laugh at me when I ran head first into huge battles in WvW whilst almost everyone on my team retreated...

lol So happy you're enjoying your rig bud.

I'll join you some time, still have to reinstall the game though.
Best bet is to play with a team of people you know (Some of the My gaming guys). Play for objectives and not kills.
Once you get that under the belt you can start jamming some hardcore its less forgiving than softcore but your reaction time will improve dramatically because its literally kill or be killed in a second.
