I disagree. IPs like Baldur’s Gate, MDK and all those should remain firmly where they are, in our nostalgia filled childhood. Why not make something new, why remake something thats been done before?

I want a reboot of the Pharaoh series :).
They should do remastering of old titles, not script / layout remaking.
This is a remake:

Baldur's gate series don't need a comeback. Its on of the top sellers on GOG just the way it is and well do you really think there will be a market for this games these day's? My brother who never really played the older games found baldur's gate so hard at the first few battles he gave up.
I would not mind Remastering of the series that would be awesome.
Uhmm are we forgetting Dungeon Keeper? That would be awesome, I've still got my Baldurs gate discs somewhere must go digging them up. Perhaps I should also finish Monkey Island one again, 20 years is too long.
100%
I want heroes of might and magic get a reboot. A decent reboot with highly stylized 2d graphics. Drop the freaking 3d it looks shit for heroes.
Unreal needs hd remastering
Quake 1 needs hd remastering
Caesar needs hd remastering
Shadow warrior needs hd remastering
Redneck rampage needs ahd remastering
Prey needs a hd remastering.
I played duke3d with the hd mod and it was so much fun.
I don't agree on Prey seeing it's also only 5 years old and wasn't that great.
That's exactly why they should make a comeback. Gamers are being milked on weak easy-ass games that offer little to no challenge - and the default reaction to any challenging game is to give up.
As for my list -
Star Control - if only to replace the misfit that was Star Control III
Master of Orion - almost to the word the exact same reason as above - look how well the Civ franchise is still doing for itself.
UFO (XCOM) - No idea what it should be called anymore - but here they should focus on remastering the game and maybe expanding it a bit
Baldur's Gate - absolutely - they left lots of space when ending Baldur's Gate II - there's room for more story - the endless series of books based on the Forgotten Realms is enough testament to that.
