yeah UT3 does that it logs u in internationally 1st and it works with local cap but when it doesnt wanna it doesnt wanna :'(, apparently MW2 is also gonna be like that since WAW does it they gonna follow that line.
no more local is leka :'(
All the more reason to get more international from these fools of telephone companies!
There's three ways to play with local, but both require two accounts...
Route Sentry is one
The second way is to go on an international account, login, connect to server and while map is loading. Switch to a local account...
3rd way is a private server...which is not really an option.
There's actually a 4th way I never understood. In the past the SGS server kept dying when there was a lack of activity. If you went to gametracker the server status would show "dead". When this happened you could just type in "open ip" in console and you could join server while on local without logging into gamespy.
But the best option as always is still Route sentry...Finally managed to get it working on Vista :)
Speaking of the sgs server, it's currently a ghost town: Should we ask them to install UTComp and turn it into a dedicated duel server?
