I can't even begin to explain how much I hate Windows Live for Gaming..!

So I have been spending the better part of my entire afternoon until now trying to get Bulletstorm to work on my PC with no success. I can't even get into the game because it refuses to log into Windows Live. When I log in from my browser it does it no problem (most of the time) but refuses to do so from the game.

It also seems to like to change it's mind. Sometimes it will work properly and log me in with my username password and then other times it won't log me in at all. Then it gives me a gamertag and then later it tells me I can't log queries on the support forum because I don't have a gamertag! I mean FFS..!:mad:

I'm so gatvol at the moment it's not even funny anymore. I have disabled my firewall and AV, I've tried to forward the ports as suggested but still F-ALL.

I think I should just go to bed and sleep it off.:cry:

The problem is an update.

Now there are lots of ways to try to get to work and for each person its diffrent.

Mine was delete windows live ID assist.

Then download the windows live client(the one that looks like steam) then log in there. Then go back into the game it will tell you it needs an update you will say yes and if your lucky it will install. If your unlucky try about 7 times running the game restarting logging off and so forth.

Change your password there seems when someone uses the same password but with a different account it messes up like that.

but windows live works perfectly.... on the xbox :D

Go into your GFWL folder and run the GFWLive application. It might tell you that you need to download some other app first, Live ID, if I remember correctly. Log in with your username and password through that and it works. That's how I got my game to go in, lol. You don't need to log in to GFWL Marketplace again after that.

I hate it with a passion. First time I used it, I signed up in order to use Warhammer, I then discovered that my nickname somehow was something along the lines of "ReliableRuby" nothing I had picked. Yes, you can change it at a later stage, but it is frustrating when you discover this for the first time. Second thing I hate, is that I can never seem to active my games. I have noticed with both Dirt2 and GTA: EFLC that the key code registration had failed, both of these games I have never played.

Either way it's frustrating, only way Windows live will get people to use their service is to force them to use it with games, it seems no one likes it.

On the XBox it works great but hell I got to agree, on the PC it's horrible. It was such a mission to get Resident Evil 5 to work last year because Windows Live also just wouldn't let me log in. Good luck!

Strangely never had any issues with GFWL. Every game automatically says that I'm signed in, the dashboard doesn't reflect what games I'm playing and my gamer score has always been 0, but as long as I can play I'm happy.

Because I set it up one Christmas day after much nog, I have no idea what my password is or how I got there in the first place. I guess my day is still coming.

Ja well still no luck....I feel like a kid who is being punished by his parents but not really knowing why :/ I have pretty much run out of things to try. It just will not sign me in and hence I cannot play the F-in game. :rolleyes:

Makes me a sad bunny.

Did you try log into GFWLive Marketplace?
