I suggest we all gang up on to0ken!

Ja, I tried to do the Freezone thing, which works in my favour. Hey I have a 25gig cap, 9 gigs chows through it. But I'm busy downloading it internationally, I don't want to wait:p
Nooo dude, not a good idea, he has a tendency to go all Rambo on you:D
Hahaha :D
Dudes, I've been watching some MP gameplay videos on youtube and I have to say, it does really, really look fun! The maps are very cool as well. It's something different which I'm quite keen on trying out.
Yeah because BFBC2 ran like a dream when it was out the box?
Seriously, I'm getting this game and can't wait to see what it's like. If it sucks, well too bad but how on earth can anyone compare anything to BF3??? The game hasn't even been finished yet. I just look at all the hype BC2 got and what we actually got on launch day... EA are masters of HYPE.
Plus I don't trust any reviewer out there, I just look at some of the recent "concerns" around reviews.
Holding my breath :)
There was nothing wrong with BFBC2 at launch? There just wasn't enough servers, that's all. Anyhow, I don't trust the reviewers too much either. Their reviews are either too positive or too negative and I'll just have to decide for myself.
Usually when I decide not to buy a game, I make up my mind and that's that. With this game, I decided not to buy it but I still yearn to play it! So that made me reconsider and I'm picking it up tomorrow. I'm sure we're gunna get some fun out of this one.
So where are the servers gonna be hosted? Any ideas?
I wont hesitate to klits you all kop skoots through solid brick walls from all the way on the other end of the map. I've got my sonar kit ready, you can't hide, I can hear you sweating!.
So who is playing this weekend? Well if you are, prepare to die!!
Musica and BT Games in Brooklyn have the limited edition for R399 for those interested.
I'm not going to be home this weekend, but I'll probably play a bit on Monday. And this morning.
I suspect that Flops will be uninstalled on the weekend...
Geezlike man, this is really kak. Talk about a buzz kill
/rages
I'll install before leaving for weekend away and then it must update while I'm away. RDP baby!
After just opening the first page on there forums I am so not getting this game.
We will probably be playing Homefront 5 by then... Hahaha!
Hahaha was wondering...
Awesome game is awesome.
Some people are not happy about the number of snipers and yeah, it is frustrating, but that is not Homefronts' fault. All online shooters always have too many snipers. I really wish developers would start including class limits. And there are not enough maps. Other than that, cool game. This pertains only to the MP.
One issue I have is the lack of maps and game modes. They need to make more maps and quickly. They also need to add some variety in game types. Where is CTF? Where is something like blowing up certain points, ala COD or BC2 style? Yes, they don't want to make it too much like COD or BF, but they need to include different game types or risk people losing interest. I also miss being able to shoot through objects and walls, but that will just take some getting used to again is all.
As for the snipers, if you don't like it, the you better stop playing online shooters! :P Yeah I know, they are plentiful, but it's part and parcel of playing online. I just think they have made sniping too easy. There is virtually zero movement on the scope when ADSing which makes it too easy to aim and no bullet drop either. So now everyone is a sniper. Also, the thermal scope is cool, but also makes thing too easy.
I love that you can take out a chopper fairly easily with the proximity launcher. Very balanced. The knifing also seems to work pretty well. Haven't really experienced lunge. I also love the hitreg. No hassles there imho. Shoot him in the head with anything bigger than a pistol and he drops pretty easily. I love the battle commander thing. If you playing too well, you get marked to an approximate spot on the map. And obviously so can an enemy who is killing too many friendlies. Also, your nemesis also gets tagged. Revenge baby! The airstrikes and special weapons you can buy also make for some fun. Not depending on racking up a 7 kill streak, you must simply accumulate points. Very clever system.
One other gripe I have is the grenades and flashbangs. The nade throwing and hitting the ground etc doesn't seem to be normal. Nades seem to not really bounce and move after hitting something. Also, flashing doesn't really seem effective, unless it explodes 2cm from a enemies' face. The biggest issue I had though was the constant disconnect after a map loaded. Was fucking annoying to say the least. I have no idea what caused it. I eventually formatted PC and reloaded Steam. I then simply copied back my old Steamapps folder and voila. Problem solved. Now I'm loving it.
The game looks very pretty and the graphics are maybe not revolutionary, but they have made it look very good. The sounds are also pretty decent. Some of the weapons sound a bit odd. When firing, they sound too light. Not enough oomph, but that is really not a setback in anyway.
Overall chaps and chapettes, those who have not bought it, it is well worth the R350. This all being based on the MP. I would have bought this game for the MP alone at that price, so any SP campaign is simply a bonus.
The SP I only play for the story. These days I don't really attach too much value to any SP campaign. If the story is really good, the duration is not as important.
I really don't see the problem with the snipers.. Once you get enough kills, take that chopper and shoot the kak outta them! LOL. I love doing that. Anyhow, the battle points system works really well, and it's well balanced. Now anyone can buy abilities, special upgrades and weapons and also vehicles. It's a really fun game, come to think of it.
The current maps are not bad at all. There are a lot of cool hiding places, cool spots to dig in also lots of room for flanking. This is a good example of a classic fun shooter.
Another thing is that at first I thought the controls to be a bit clunky, but I got used to it now and it's not too bad. The shooting is fun and satisfying imo. The only weird thing is the grenade throwing. It takes a bit to get used to as you have to throw REALLY high sometimes just to get that extra distance.
I actually have no complaints about the game. I have seen a few people moan about the camping and sniping but whatever. It's not bothering me much at all. I haven't seen too much camping, and as I've said before, if snipers camp, it's really easy to find them and get them back. If you can't spot them, drop some white phosphorous on their ass :p
