YouTube will never be the same! Rebecca Black has pulled her Friday video from the site.
After Rebecca Black found out that Ark Music was treating Friday as a pay-to-play video on YouTube, she took action, sending a letter to remove the video.
A rep for Rebecca Black said in a statement via TMZ, "We can confirm that we submitted a Take Down Notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the Friday video."
The dispute began earlier in the week when Ark Music tried to rocket sales and boost their market strategy by swindling lovers of Friday out of $2.99!
Really, they wanted to charge us $2.99 to watch Friday on YouTube? Anyway, it didn't work in their favor. Turns out free viewing was a much better way to go.
"Thanks for all the messages regarding the $2.99 fee added to [the] Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!!" Black tweeted of the fee. Adding, "PS... My Manager and Lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this! Stay tuned..."
It's cool, we can still get down with Rebecca in Katy Perry's new video Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).
YouTube has lost an MVP with the removal of Friday. We should all take a moment and pay our respects. Stay tuned to see how this one ends.
