Personally I loved Blood + -- it had everything that Blood the Last Vampire didn't. Plot development, character development, solid storyline. I'm not bashing Last Vampire by any means - it was solid in it's own way. They share same universe to some degree, but they're two very different series.

That is true, I did not mean to bash Blood plus I personal found it hard to finish just like monster the anime.

B+ a bit dramatic but not bad either. Very watchable :)

Though I prefer LastVampire. Still Not many real decent vampire animation out there I've seen apart from Hellsing and Trinity.

Well ... I'll be the first to admit that Blood+ wouldn't be to everyone's taste - it did lean very much towards the drama side of things - then again, that kinda happens to be one of my preferences :p

Give Dance in the Vampire Bund a try - I found that quite enjoyable as well. A bit on the short side, but that might stop it from becoming to drawn out for some people.

Other Vampire related series I enjoyed as well were Lunar Legend Tsukihime (and I now suddenly have an urge to watch it again ... damn), and ... well ... I doubt Moon Phase will be everyone's cup of tea as well, since it's more light-hearted - but that made it into my retail DVD collection. I still need to watch Shiki.

YES ! Tsukihime definitely one of my fav, I as thinking of it as I wrote previous reply just couldn't recall the name. sweet. /goes looking ;)

Now I remember that anime. It was awesome and strange at the same time very good in my books.

Well ... they do know what their fans like I suppose - Urusei Yatsura aired in 1981 I think, and a flash of cleavage without all the delicate cel-shading they have nowadays isn't the same thing. All the same, shows like that I can still appreciate. Nadia, interestingly enough, was animated by Gainax, and they are, or were quite well known for their relatively high levels of fanservice.

Talking about old/classic shows though, I can still watch Ranma - no matter how shoddy folks think the animation is compared to now. I happened to think Shampoo was quite a babe :D

lol no. not about the ecchi. its just that even the generic shows right(mostly ecchi) now have spoilt my eyes. they all look shiny compared to any show pre 2000.. i still need to watch cowboy bebop :/
