I am on the next arch. I have mixed feeling about it :( I miss hisoka
I've also started the Chimera Ant Arc
Guy's I assure you, just get through the initial slow start of it all, I was also put off by the abrupt change of pace but prepare for a rollercoaster ride from the heavens that will descend into hell faster than the speed of light, once you arrive you will be begging to stay to see the conclusion of it all.
Bluntly put, The Chimera Ant Arc, it quite possibly the best arc in an aime show in recent times.
Hisoka has him time to shine after the chimera ant arc, In the final arc showing now he features in almost every episode so there is enough Hisoka to go around for everyone! You won't care about him once you dive deeper into this arc.
Some screen dumps to tease you with....

Spoiler warning:
I had some friends complain Gon was a weakling by crying and "being a little bitch" but you have to understand that he is only a boy 13/14 in the Chimera ant arc and 15 in the current Manga. I don't think any sane human being would be able to put up with the amount of emotionally twisted events and generally f*cked up stuff Gon had to go through in the chimera ant arc and still come out okay in the end of it all.
Killua on the other hand is Gon's rock, he was trained to feel nothing and have no attachments to people (there is an exception in the following arc), despite this he stuck through it all with him until the end, and then some. Gon is a prime example of character development, through perseverance, pure hatred turned into revenge and the complete disregard for life in order to exact revenge. He knew very well that his demands on himself were somewhat childish yet he still pursued them and knowing all to well the ultimate price for closure and revenge he still continued.
Killua can be considered the ultimate friend and companion anyone would want, he went through hell and back with Gon, and he would do it again in a heart beat.
I will keep it up :p just surprised that his other friends the doctor and red eyes aren't really in it anymore :p
I already get the sense that is probably the darkest arc yet, especially with their introduction of the NGL, the branching out of the Chimera Ant species, etc. Some interesting and dark themes are already showing themselves. So the pacing is a little different but I certainly get why (at least thus far).
More binges to follow :o
Just hang in there it's quite a lengthy introduction, from episode 100 it get's insane.
Leorio (the doctor) has his time of glory on the 13th Chairman Election Arc, and apparently Kurapika (red eyes) get's his own story arc a little later (currently in the manga). A glimpse of him is given at some stage in the current arc but thats about all we see.
The pacing of the story was done very well considering they had about 10 or more main characters to work with.
Also don't you just LOVE the ED song from episode 100 onwards! :D
Don't get me wrong I still love the show :p
Though the best scene to date is when hisoka gets the pedo sight :p looks at the kids butts :p
Reading 'Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari',the manga is awesome.I hope it gets an anime adaption. It's only translated up to Ch7 but i was hooked ever since reading the first chapter.

Haven't really read any new manga lately save for One Piece, Bleach, Naruto and Tower of God.
Also it would help if I kept myself up to date with what I watched and currently am watching besides the obvious, Hunter x Hunter.
Finished:
Coyote Ragtime show - I have had it for a while on DVD so gave it a watch. It was Okay.... Bordering on bad, it is a bit like chewing gum. Full of unmemorable characters, plot holes, bad jokes as well as bad writing and a oh so! Predictable ending. Trust me there are way better shows that are worth your time.
Heroic Age - It was a Good Mecha show, kept me intrigued until the end. Standard Space Opera/mecha with people wearing incredibly tight space suits.

Watching:
Soul Eater - Finally started after about 9000 delays.
Accel World - Not too sure about this one, I will see how long it can keep my attention.
*Spoiler-esque things ensues*
I don't know what to think after seeing Gon and Palm go on a date:eek: :O!
Also the knuckles and shoot confrontation was certainly a great psychological segment that explored the real weaknesses of some of the characters. Tonight I'll be watching Rammot go head to head against Killua!
Spoiler-esque things end
Also, this is actually the best shonen anime I've ever watched thus far (he says as an avid Bleach and Naruto fan)
