Neregate's got her (I think it's a she) visual guide up for the Autumn 2011 Anime releases - got a couple coming up that I'm really looking forward to. Since the main part of the cycle is in October, there'll probably be a few changes coming still, but this gives us a good idea.

Thats about it. I don't know but they don't seem to be doing good anime these days.
I'm pretty keen on Shakugan no Shana, Last Exile, Ika Musume (First season was a lot of fun), Working!! (ditto) and Fate/Zero, so far. I'm busy doing my page over on my blog, which will be up ... I dunno ... sometime in the next 2 weeks or so. I'll share my final thoughts there.Quote:

On ep 8 of Death Note now. Fucking epic. Although I don't like the main character. Yagami's ideal is incredibly flawed and childish. Don't know what he's thinking when he decides to kill coppers who basically did him no harm.

although my favourite show this season has to be mawaru penguindrum. consistently entertaining

So I finished Death Note and I loved it. Was my first anime series and probably one of the best things I've ever seen. So the only other anime on my HD is Code Geass, I'm not too sure if I'll enjoy it. Can someone give me an idea what it's about and what themes are present?
In some ways you could almost call Code Geass a Death Note with more action. The protagonist is similarly adept at manipulating people and twisting conditions to his needs :). Code Geass is more sci-fi/mecha based, plenty of action, a whole bunch of twists. I think if you enjoyed Death Note you'll enjoy Code Geass as well. Make a note to yourself to get hold of the second season - if anything, its even better than the first.Quote:

Sailor Moon takes patience ... lots of it.
The plot's basically the same - with some minor differences - except that Sailor Moon is a lot longer (I have 3 seasons, and that's not even all of it), and the main character's voice is the equivalent of dragging nails across a black-board. Tokyo Mew Mew is also a fair bit newer, and it shows in the character design and animation.
