I downloaded an Episode from Space Battleship Yamato: Quest for Iscandar and it's in Japanese,as far as i can tell star brazers is english dub so this should be one of the originals.
Blegh. Late to this, but got curious when I noticed Mangastream had not released Hunter x Hunter, Claymore, Naurto, etc, for a second week running.
Turns out Viz Media pulled the crunch on them, forcing them to remove all Viz Media related products.

Annoying, since the Viz stuff firstly comes out half a month after mangastream's stuff, and secondly often has worse translations (americanized puns etc injected in).
While I understand that Viz is within their legal rights to do so, it's frustrating to see them do it for a product of lesser quality and worse time management. Not to mention, none of the cash that goes into them actually makes it to the original mangaka. :/
Thank you, I'll have a lookey. I see that nyaa is back up after going "rouge".
On another note. What are you guys currently following? Just done catching up on narotu, my bad for lol thinking it's generally kak, its not so bad, but have good points too. Got myself bleach from season 6 up too 16, just need to start watching
Finally started my bleach trek this week, now at ep 149 and going strong :D
Sad but true... Bleach is ending on march 27 2012, seems to be true googled it and go a few results from various websites
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ng-on-march-27Quote:
A recent television program listing in Japan reports that the Bleach television anime series will end its run in TV Tokyo's 6:00 p.m. Tuesday timeslot on March 27. When a Twitter follower of Bleach animation director Hiroki Takagi sent him an image of the listings, Takagi responded by saying, "So quick. I was going to paste it… /(^o^)\"
Shueisha, the publisher of Tite Kubo's original manga, had already announced that the weekly Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on Tuesday, April 3 at 6:00 p.m.

Update: More background information added.
Latest manga Volume is also called "The Last Arc"
I really don't like chibi crap :/ Well apparently Kubo said that bleach was halfway when the fullbring arc started so there should still be tons of bleach left for us. Seems he is sick at the moment though so there was no chapter last week. Hope he recovers soon.
I'm hoping that at the very least they do something like they did with Inuyasha. They stopped the anime and then later when the manga finished up they went on with the anime and finished the story. I'll start reading the Bleach manga now that they won't go on with the anime, but I really hope that they will do the other parts in anime form as well.
I expected more from Black Lagoon.
The hell sing ovas were awesome! I'd also love them to do bleach coz I just don't have the time to watch another 200eps! :-/
I see beelzebub is ending this weekend :(
Man that was like the best anime ive seen for a long time
my fav anime all time will be Fairy tail
I've started my bleach catchup, now at 194 :). After this 'm going to watch some black lagoon 3rd season...
anyone check out the kenichi OVA? seems pretty decent, they definitely paved the way for a season 2 now with them mentioning YOMI's intentions to get the title of the world strongest disciple
Bye Bye Bleach.
Last episode aired.
We will miss you Ichigo... ;-'(
Started watching Eureka 7, got to the end of episode 1, deleted it from my PC, went to takealot and ordered both series 1 and 2 so I can watch it and own it on DVD :D
Really enjoyed Full Metal Alchemist. Watching Samurai Champloo now
Heh ... good on you, although I generally watch at least half the series before I commit to buying it ... I've seen to many series start off well and turn into a mess at the end. Eureka Seven not being one of them - I thoroughly enjoyed it, beginning to end - although there was a slow spot in the middle.
Worth the buy in my book.
I'm ordering DNAngel for myself this month :D
Need a job that pays more or need or I need to stop saving for my studies. I got 200+ items on my wish list >_< Why cant you drop by just R300 PLEASE!?!?! I will admit it was at R2000+ at one stage so it has dropped quite a bit.

*edit*
WTF Takealot really stupid with pricing sometimes...

All most at ep 300 of bleach, lol. Currently at 269. Sheesh so many episodes...
...was thinking of watching the series out of interest vs initial excitement and lure when I started with first season of bleach. Seems that I'm just watching out of interest. Pretty much same how I felt with naruto going over from Arch A to Arch B (shippuden). However this kinda brings be back to the original problem which is that I don't think there is something that would capture me to the extend that my initial taste of anime was. This now thinking of something like ergo proxy. On the other hand I suppose I can't say that with confidence when I don't let myself to be expose much to anime like in those days. Lol I've become anime stingy.
What do you guys use to play your animes on your tv's..? Sometimes i get the PS3 to work but mostly i have been connecting my PC directly to the tv and watching that way. Are there any media players that handle playing animes with their subs without any issues...?
My Samsung *forgot the Model* can play .srt extensions but they must be separate from the mkv/mp4 file, bit too much of a mission to de-mux the subs and put it on a mem stick so I just watch my Anime I watch my DVD's and BDs through the TV and everything else on the PC. (funsubs etc)
Never used one, had a look at the popcorn hour website... Looks like the Popcorn Hour C-300 supports subtitle formats and at R4,399.00. It's a bit pricey for me.
I would rather roll with a HTPC I can get a:
MSI E350IA (CPU/GPU/MOBO)
4GB DDR3-1333
Cooler Master Elite 100
250GB HD
all for R2200~ then just buy a HDMI cable, install Linux and you have a HTPC that plays anything!
