Hopeless optimism gives me gas.... Everywhere i look i see the stupid and the ignorant to my eyes there is nothing else.

A company that does not put the customer first is a bad company. If the customers want Yellow Dog Linux running their console and Sony says no, that's an example of not putting the customers first.
The % of customers that want Linux on for Linux's sake is so small it hardly matters. The real reason the majority of these dim witted twats want is is to cheat, hack and steal. The entire PSN network outage is due to the breach in the PS3's security, hat geotwat not broken it 24 million credit cards would not have been in danger. So yeah Sony had and still has a legitimate reason for removes the other OS feature from the PS3 and its the same reason you don't let a 3 year old play with a loaded gun, its stupid and will bow out its own brains of that of someone else.
If they can "hack" and "steal" you can't really call them dim witted can you? Maybe misdirected? Maybe we can re-"direct" them with proprietary software? Maybe we should put headless corporates like Microsoft and Sony in charge of dictating the "direction"? Maybe they'll overcome their hunger for money and exercise good ethical judgement? Or maybe those of us who can, should just use Linux ;)
Hmmmm.... what would House say if asked the same question....
I can call them Suzie Q if I wanted. The parasite, the moocher and the looter would take only. They do not believe in getting out what you put in. For them is must be free, it must be freely available because that is all the the limited intellect of the parasite, the moocher and the looter can comprehend.
Who gives 2 shits out "good ethical judgement" Sony is a company they are in it for the money so what, without corporations that make billions the world economy would be even more fucked that it already is.
As for Linux... if it was really the best thing since sliced bread would it have made its way to the top of the food chain all by its self, the way Android has done in the mobile market. Instead of Linux being a OS powerhouse it remains a niche OS and in that pudding is the proof.
And you have become what you so dearly despise.
