I think I may have achieved a long term goal. A mamoerse increase I was fighting/working/slaving for, for 3 years. Just waiting for the xfers to complete. Here's hoping. >.<

One thing though, and this is just from personal experience, you want to keep the number of construction forms to a bare minimum, ie, building items from as little physical geometry as possible.
What's the Vertex count on that?
Verts are just under 200K with the poly's just over 300k Preformance is good and it renders in 15 seconds.
And these aren't meant for animation or preformance, so I build everything out of lots of little bits, makes texturing easier later on because I can flat colour small things and add textures to the bigger ones and figure out the theme as I'm going. It's like playing with legos for me. :p
Alot of the blatant clipping will be hidden when I add the textures.
And yes, it is modeled after the M1 Abrams. I downloaded a stock model from the internet and used it as a guide to get all the shapes right.
Yup, looks good, you know that you can group select Polys and shade them individually in Max right?
Yup. I usually use that to try and emulare mud spatters and dirt on the underside of things, but I still haven't figured out how to do it realisticly.
Sorry if it seem like I'm blowing off all your sugestions. I've just set up my own learning curve and I'm working on improving things one bit at a time. Right now I'm mainly focussing detail work over textures and optomised modeling.
