In BF2, the grandaddy of Battlefield games, bad language was not tolerated (lncluding acronyms). Admins monitored servers actively and actually cared. Players cared. People wanted to have a good time. Griefers were shown the door.
If we can somehow work out a similar structure for BF3, using responsible and respected players to monitor while playing the game they love, the community will thrive.
Did you play BF2 at all? If you thought BC2 was a gem for its time, BF2 made it look dismal in gameplay comparison (my 2c).
(i know i am hugely pro-BF2. But it being my first online FPS and me sinking 2500+ hours into it, how successful the competitive side was, it succeeding for a 5 years (!!!) AND me still having the friends I made THEN from my first days running around as a noobcake... It wins :cool:).
