I would prefer to see only one console platform:with a gamepad and Wiimote-type controller and support for mouse and keyboard.
Would reduce developers' workload, cut down on fanboyism and make it easier for us PC-users to enjoy some the better console games.
Then the creativity would die down ! face it competition means that the console manufacturers and developers would do anything to get the best games with the best graphics and gameplay onto the market, if there's no competition then the market will be flooded with all kinds of crap games just for a quick buck because the console manufacturer would know that there's no other alternative so you would have to buy their crap. a good example is the wii it is the only console with such a n innovative motion sensor controller (sixaxis doesnt count) and look at all the crap games on the wii
You have a point there. I just find it annoying when something interesting turns up on another platform.
c'est la vie.
It's really a question of preference. It's sort of like, in a company you never ask people what they want, because they don't know. So you introduce something new and if people like it they'll use it. Answering why you like XBox more than PS3 is nothing more than preference and the appeal of what the company has done. IMO, they're not very different. So yeah, that was a pretty silly retort (WaldoRibeiro)
Dude its like what we were talkin about with sharkbait, if you have both its harder to compare because you wanna play both consoles and enjoy what you have with them.... and I'm not sure who said it but it was along the lines of you have to play with both consoles before you decide which one to buy and in ur case u obviously enjoy Xbox and PS3 and therefore own them.... I guess what im trying to get at is that you can afford to criticise consoles as you not only own both but play with them to :D
xbox pwns ps3... installing games on your console is rather bs hey... id rather go buy a blu-ray player than the ps3....
I'd say it depends on the games. Some games are just better on console. It does take some getting used to if you played on pc and then moved to a console.
best way to start is get the xbox controller for windows (or a standard cabled one) and start messing around there. that would make the transition to console alot easier as you have the basic feel for the controllers
