To many it is. Just because you don't like it (as a result of not fitting in the target market), that doesn't mean others don't. Clearly it's the opposite.
Your argument is a little silly, considering millions of people wouldn't buy a terrible game. We're not talking about thousands...we're talking about millions. If the games were dirt cheap, then yes maybe, but the latest generation games simply aren't.
He may have a point.
Xboxen do seem to die more often than PS3s do.
My friend's Box displayed the Red Ring of Death this weekend.
My argument silly, oh no you have it wrong. Since when do the general public know whats good. They follow the hype train and that is where is M$ is king. Halo 3 had one of the biggest marketing campaigns ever seen and thats why it sold so many and it was actually weaker than Halo 2 as said by many. Millions of people DO buy terrible games, have you forgotten about a little thing called the Wii?????
So please if you going to use that argument, then the Wii pawns all. Bring me quality and not quantity.
LMAO..I just had to post these pics!!

You can't use Halo 3 as an example to prove your point, as it is an extreme example. One needs to look at things in context, and in this case Halo 3, as I said, is an extreme example of hype. If the simple answer to games selling so well is hype, why aren't Sony hyping their games much more? It would be a logical step, but clearly it's not the right step, as selling games simply isn't that easy. How have Microsoft managed to put together a list of 53 games that have sold over a million copies via pure hype and Sony only 19? Hype is clearly not the defining factor in Xbox games selling so well.
Secondly, with regards to the Wii - it's aimed at the casual gamer market. The Xbox and PS3 are aimed at more hardcore gamers. Simply have a look at the game libraries and you'll see that. The millions of people who buy Wii games most likely have no interest in the PS3 and Xbox libraries and vice versa. You, clearly, aren't a Wii fan, but you can't use your opinion on the Wii to summarise its library of games as "terrible," just because you don't like said games. Millions of people do!
