And I reckon Uncharted 2 is the best game I've played in my entire life :D

Gotta agree there!
p.s. nice sig... Most Used Weapons - RPG - 7  WTF?:D
Lol, I have no idea how that got there :p Must be the fact that I always go for the RPG in the survival matches to take out those damn mini-gun dudes.
I'm so jealous, whenever I get time to play no one is online :(
Still haven't touched deathmatch yet
Has this turned into a mac vs pc thread?
with the recession kicking in for gamers i would go for PSN :-D
Now we're going in damned circles! I assumed online gaming (as per PSN vs Live), and said I have to pay for online play on some PC games. I was then told he was referring to LAN, now you tell me he is not referring to LAN. People, get your story straight! Look at this:
Not all PC online gaming is free, so how in the hell does that relate to PSN being free?
Since apparently this SA market is insignificant, lets look at subscription charges in the broader sense for overseas market. That being USD 49.99 / GBP 39.99 per annum or GBP 3.30 per month. This, in the UK is the price of a half-pint of beer! This is the equivalent of about R10 a month in this country, which is hardly going to break the bank.
Even in Rands that is R40 a month, which is a supersized Big Mac Meal!
Its much cheaper than a night out and it lasts a whole month.
OK. I gree with BurNThaM. I think Tyger meant online gaming. Hope that clears things up. :)
The subs we talking about is to the network irrespective of the game that is played online. Currently I know of no games on XBOX and PS3 you have to pay subscription to the "game"/"server" like on PC. I could be wrong though.
Is this debate still going? I thought we confirmed that xbox pwnes all. http://www.mygaming.co.za/forum/pict...&pictureid=657
Does that then mean that Wicus hates xbox?
I have just spent the last of my monies...
lol... On 12 months gold membbership, xbox wireless adapter and cod: mw2 pre order...
was £130 and hopefully worth it!
I have decided, it's time to save up and buy a PS3, ( and a game or two, aswell as a decent pc screen with HDMI :D)
Are you guys talking about MMORPG's?
Don't think they count in this argument as its only available for PC at the moment.
Think the initial argument was more towards FPS games
Final fantasy XI
Dust 514
Regardless, online play is online play. People said the same thing about RTS until Halo Wars. The PC is more conducive toward RTS and MMO but it does not discount them at any point from online play.
And since MMOs are the only thing I play on PCs and not on consoles, I find it really relevant to this argument.
PC doesnt count. See thread name. :p
And when MMO comes to Xbox & PS3, Xbox owners will have to pay Live subscription to MS as well as MMO subscription to Blizzard for example.
PS3 owners will just have to pay the MMO subscription (again similar to PC)
i would go for the ps3 for these reasons: It has built in wifi so you wouldn't need to connect it directly to an Ethernet cable if you have a wireless router. The PSN (playstation Network) is free to all playstation owners, and is great for online play. also the psn has the playstation store which is great for downloading free demos, videos, trailers, wallpapers and themes and psn games which only cost you little. Go and search more on the internet, many websites should have discounts in xmas time.
Rocket-jumping with a gamepad? IMPRESSIVE!Quote:
/rocket jumps Xbox and Wii users
Its games library has me favouring the 360 at the moment. Not a big fan
of Gears of War and what I saw of Heavy Rain left me cold.
It is and always will be a personal choice. Both consoles have their pro's and cons.
Xbox has alot of awesome game but as does the ps3. Even the Wii has some... ok titles. But yes if i had to choose i would choose Xbox simply coz i choose to. I hated the Ps2 and the PS3 isn't blowing me away either. the controller is stupid and its ugly. But thats just me.
