With the newer meta game, and smoke and counter gangs becoming popular, gem is often purchased fairly early. Especially because so many pub games involve lothars (shadowblade) on practically half the team. This might make it more difficult for techies, because for him an early gem basically nullifies his game presence.
This is true everyone Shadowblades these days. Played a game on Friday where the team had a Riki, Bounty, Ursa(with Shadow Blade), Kunka(with Shadow Blade) and a Shadow Fiend(I think) with Shadow Blade. Was really so annoying warding and using gems the whole game.Quote:

Also caught a MyG Sunday Tournament game yesterday (eN. vs CM Storm, IIRC) with Congo (fluKe) casting the game alongside Hari. Wow! Pro games are really on another level, I noticed so many habits of the Pros that you don't really see in pubs, the level of team play is admirable, and having commentary is awesome IMO. Big Ups to eSports:)

Very true, weren't the ROCCAT guys crying murder about the EU servers? fluKe made an interesting point about these local teams having to get used to EU servers, especially of they want to make it into the international scene.Quote:
