After this year's E3, I think it's too early to predict anything. Natal/the PS3 motion controller could become big hits. Games also play a huge role and who knows what they have up their sleeves.
The length of time ps3 games take to develop needs to be taken into account
How many units will Halo ODST and Halo Reach sell (if they're half the size of Halo 3 in terms of popularity, Sony won't have a chance)...
Thats short term, then theres the Motion controller/Natal in the long term
I agree with Lydon though, its far too early
Well considering the latest we have heard with Sony causing major issues and refusing blatently to decrease their prices, I think in my own opinion that they are going to struggle to reach their target if they are wanting to match the Xbox sales... as OC said game developments have to also be taken into consideration but so does the Recession taking place globally...
The PS3 matched sales of the Xbox360 since the release of the PS3, it just did not manage to make up for the 8M Xboxes sold prior to the PS3 release making up the current difference. That was despite the "expense" and lack of titles.Quote:
