Hey guys,
In an effort to rid our servers of hackers, we have installed a Country kicker which prevents overseas players from playing on the SGS metro servers.
Please provide feedback :)
Infy to the rescue of SGS Part 1 - BF3 Xenophobia.
Part 2 to come next week. Im thinking Part 2 - The Germans Strike Back.
On a serious note. Would be interesting to see how this affects the SGS servers.
I'm guessing they are also going to run allot smoother now since INT players will no longer cause lag and server side packet loss.
All we need now is a ping spike and another reason to DC from a game. Hope it is an ip blockerQuote:

We will be testing on this new version and providing DICE with feedback
i love how DICE maintains a active interest in the running of the servers by listening to feedback about the changes :)
Thank gawd for ip blocker! No more hackers or ints!
Hello guys,
In-case none of you have seen this. Check out the blog submission from an EA/DICE representative - Battlefield 3 anti-cheat measures
I have just heard that the guys over at DICE have queued several hundred accounts for the banning process.
We will be performing maintenance on all WAGE servers shortly. We will be running a test instance of R17 which was released yesterday evening. Additionally we will be making changes to our anti-cheat system and enabling a few services/functions to help rid the servers of hackers and make it more enjoyable for you guys.
We'll let you know when we will be doing this.
Thanks for the comments guys, always good to hear. We will continue to do what we can against said fools:)
It's probably not lag but my six year old PC trying to keep up with my 384K DSL. :p
Guys we would like your imput on the server gamemodes, we are thinking of changing it a bit around what would you guys like to see?
What did you have in mind?Quote:

There are two types of lag: server side and client side. Client side will be localised, server is pervasive.
Rubber banding is the connection problem and so is the triangle thingy which i believe is them trying to stop rubber banding and give users propper feedback as to what is happening.
The metro server lag is not really lag but more a stutter in the server processing the game.
not sure if anyone has posted this yet, if so, I'm sorry... had a good laugh

I hate MAV noobs.... what a crappy way to "play the game".

that wasnt that funny
Ditched the Vox Router/Modem Phone got a TP Link TD W8960N Line has been super stable for quite a while now. With the Vox modem I telnetted into it and changed the setting away from ADSL 2+ that made it semi stable but that was on 384k. Got 1 meg no ways the Vox was working so got the TP link.
Oh right, moral of the story, some routers are better than others. :D
