Well, in my game I am avoiding the main quest so I can get more levels and cool stuffs!
What I don;t get, is how one guy played 5 hours and got to level 44 apparently.... this I call bullshit on!
Its a glitch.

Its due to the way leveling up happens, unlike other rpg's where you get experience by completing quests, killing stuff, and completing achievements, Skyrims way is by skill increases, so its very possible to level up without doing any quests. All you have to do is get a trainer who is also a follower, use him to train, then take your money back, rinse and repeat.
I did in the beginning and i was like 'hey, this is awesome, easy leveling' then i realised it was a bad idea.
I had to start over (deleted my xbox profile) but it's all good. My new guy is in much better shape than the first guy I had.
So, I finally got me a copy of Skyrim, and I've started playing a bit. Haven't done much yet, I chose a dark elf, and I've spent some time in Riverwood, found a few farms and a meadery, and I've just discovered Whiterun. I've had to bribe a guard and lost all the cool stuff I stole, and I've killed a few wolves, some spiders, a bear, an elk and a rabbit. No dragons yet.
This game is going to take forever
Dragons only appear after a certain point in the main questline. Just follow the main quest until you have to fight the dragon at the west tower. After that, they will randomly appear.
A good place to stop doing the main quest and do whatever you want is up to the point where you have to return the horn to the greybeards. After that, you can ask them where to find shout words.
Cant wait for the new patch, it seems to fix ALOT
I've spent most of my time so far mucking about in villages, and I'm already hooked. I'm going to spend way too much time with this game. Looks like my wife is going to be working a lot of overtime in Feb, so at least I'll have some time on my hands though.
