After the last patch I've been getting extremely powerful gear at lower levels. I got my previous character to level 38 before I started seeing regular drops of ebony bows or the like, but on my current level 19 character I've already got a glass sword and ebony bow. My previous character was still using Elven armor at level 38. :O
Yeah I'm going to do that as soon as I get out the cave.
My enchanting is on 88 or something, haven't spent any talent points in it yet. So it'll be a while before I can dual-enchant. What enchant should I put on it in the meantime? I have a crapload of souls from my current bow's soul grab enchant so I'd like something more damaging.
Yep it is a little stupid that they didn't make it a circle. What I did to get leather up to Legendary is craft a set of Hide Armor & Braces, Ring and Necklace then enchant it with the most powerful fortify smithing enchantment you can put on each. You may want to put a point in the first enchant perk and then in the one that boosts skill enchantments. To get ur Deadric bow up to Legendary you will need smiting close to 200. Since I have Deadric I can improve my Deadric bow past Legendary, which is why it does 140 odd base damage.
i just finished the main quest!!!!!!!!!! pretty cool if not a bit of an ani-climax. what are you guys thoughts? now that im done with that, i roam the land and just explore.....with no fast traveling :D

Crafted myself some Legendary Daedric armour, full armour rating: 2913 (useless because max armour is 576;80% damage reduction)
Dual wield Daedric Swords: 752 damage each + 84 fire and frost damage each = 1504 damage.
BTW, takes ages to get all stuff leveled, find everything, make potions, make armour, enchant armour, improve arrmour. The video makes it look quick and easy :(
Will see if im going to create a set of each armour like this :D
I had some fun with the Throw Voice shout yesterday. Came upon two necromancers in a dungeon just beyond one of the swing spike traps. I used the shout to attract their attention and to pull them over the trap. The first one runs over it and activates it, which kills the second one. Hearing something behind him, he turns around and runs back over the trigger, and the trap kills him as well.
I also have some ninja dragons. The first one was just outside Solitude. I was heading to Wolfskull cave for the quest there and met the guy that was talking to the Jarl about the cave. I chatted with him quickly and just as I continue, I hear him unsheath his dagger and threaten someone. Since I never saw anybody, I thought it was me first and turned around. I saw him looking at the sky and as I turned around again to start looking. a dragon lands right in front of me. Was very surprised because there was no clues about him. Usually you can here them, and as soon as they decide to attack, the music changes. Had another one of them later where I had absolutely no warning whatsoever. Just an ancient dragon landing in front of me.
I also found Alduin again after the fight in Kynesgrove. He was busy resurrecting another dragon south of Rorikstead in the same way. I shot an arrow at him just to see what would happen, but he just ignored me. The dragon he was resurrecting didn't though. It was a named dragon and it wasn't related to the main quest.
They do. I just checked it out with a character that completed the main quest and there is one that appeared at Rorikstead. It looks like he only appears when you visit Rorikstead normally, as he wasn't there when I was doing A Night To Remember quest. Or they only appear after a certain amount of time has passed (without completing the main quest?).
I also tried the firebolting the dragon skeleton trick. Sends it flying and if the npc's where standing around it, they go chasing after it.
I'm going to lay Skyrim to rest for a while. The bugs are killing the game for me.
<***Spoiler Alert***>
The stormcloak invasion quest bugs out on the last outpost before the attack on Solitude, so I manually had to find the quest giver (who was also bugged) and continue from there, my quest list requiring me to overthrow the outpost only updated itself after I completed the Solitude run.
When you have to capture a dragon in Dragonsreach, my game also bugs out and no matter what I do it won't allow me to ready the troops or summon the dragon.
The quest where you have to kill the greybeard leader dragon is also bugged and the dialogue is stuck on me saying the blades want him dead.
</***Spoiler Alert***>
Apart from these 3, there's still a ton of miscellaneous items I've completed, but are still stuck on the list.
I'm lvl42 now, 105hrs into the game and I haven't done the Brotherhood quests yet, so I'll let the game cool off for a bit. Only 12k gold away from getting the 100k gold achievement though...and a treasure room full of crap in my storage locker, but all the vendors are bankrupt. :/
I've stopped playing for over a week already, not because of bugs but I felt it was time some of my other games got some attention. I still have tons to do in Skyrim when I get back to it.
Can someone just tell me how to activate the Blood on the Ice quest, because UESP wiki doesn't help at all. They say that I have to enter the city from 4 different holds and time it so I enter at night.
Did it, but still no quest that activates... Is there some order in which I have to do shit before I can get this done? Without that I can't buy my house. I can buy my house, but I can't buy my house...
This is really pissing me off.
I've also thought about stopping my obsession with Skyrim...
Then I bitch slapped myself and the thought was gone. 123 Hours Level 48.
i killed a dragon on the weekend on top of a mountain but now i cant find the remains....anyway of finding it so i can gather the soul to activate a shout?
New Patch Should be going live soon, hopefully that fixes some of these nagging issues.
I think you need to get close to the corpse to get the process started, when it looks like it's disintegrating. After that then you can move away. I remember during the weekend that I had to chase a dragon's corpse down the side of a mountain to get the soul. Or it might be that the process doesn't start until the corpse has stopped moving.
As for the not absorbing part, I think that bug was fixed in the 1.2 patch. Haven't had any recently.
Anybody else take hours trying to find stairs to the Throat of the World?? Apparently you have to go via the small town on the right (cant remember the name).
I did go the whole way around the mountain the first time. Second time I took the cart to Riften and travelled from there. My brother found a shortcut. From the Ritual stone you can head south. There is a path there that leads up through a pass in the mountain. Once through you get to a road, although it's quicker to skip the road and head up the river that should be to your right. You'll know you're on the right path when you find a small cave with a normal troll, a nirnroot and two dead stormcloaks. Right after the cave you can go to your left and you should enter Ivarstead.
Seems like Skyrim has hit the Idon'twanttoplayyounomore barrier.
It is def my fav game of 2011 and it is a huge amount of fun, but after spending well over 100 hours on it I feel its time for me to put it down... :(
