I stopped playing it a week ago. Time for other things methinks, but I shall return since I haven't even completed the main quest...

I also have barely played in the last week. Got about 45min in over the weekend and just finished moving my stuff to the house in Wind Helm. But want to finish the Civil War and Main Quest before I give it a couple of month Break. That can be the last 20hours (as I am at about 79).
That's exactly why I only (mostly) play Skyrim on Sundays. Every other day I focus on my other games, but Sunday is Skyrim day for me. It keeps from getting bored and feeling burned out.

Awesome tatt...
To all the guys using Ati/Amd Graphics cards, these were released today and I can report that it does increase the performance in skyrim, so its def worth having a look at.

I have a problem, i can't start the quest Blood on the Ice, which you have to do to purchase the house in Windhelm, i've tried everything but it seems i may have missed the opportunity as i've entered and left Windhelm many many times before i realised there was a quest needed to be done before i can purchase.
Anyone else have the same issue? Does the latest patch fix it?
i fear i am getting close to SKYRIM Overload :-( during my first 40 hours, i would make sure i chatted to everybody in a town and go into every single building and open every single drawer. but now...im trying to stick to the quest and intentionally ignoring all the fluff and surrounding elements. i hope i can find the drive to finish main mission plus the main big questlines (Dark Brotherhood/Thieves Guild/Companions,etc)
How many hours have any of you lost due to bugs in Skyrim? From what I hear this is quite a common issue.
That's not bad, I have heard some horror stories about people accidentally discovering the main plot and interacting with it and then only realizing much later on what they had done (and been allowed to do). This ended up costing them several levels and many hours.
Started playing recently, really love it. I am not too far in, went to Riverwood and retrieved the Golden Claw for the local trader after that I went exploring for a bit. I was probably around level 3 or 4 at the time when I spotted a Giant and said to myself "Challenge accepted", I got klapped.
What level should you attack a Giant?
Yoh, big mistake on my side then. :p
Looks like i gotta resort to console commands to fix this bug :/
I don't find Gaints hard at all. Just keep your distance and use a bow. I killed about 10 of them so far.
Just received my copy of Skyrim compliments of MyGaming and Exclus1ves. However after only recently finding out Skyrim because of all the rating etc, I also recently purchased Oblivion and I'm currently playing it. The whole quest thing is kinda addictive, can see myself spending countless hours with both these games:D Should I go ahead with Skyrim or finish Oblivion first? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated....Thanx
Level 53
150 hours
42/50 achievements
SO. MUCH. STUFF. TO. DO!
I say play Oblivion and finish it.
Then take on Skyrim. Try to finish it :)
At level 48, giants are too easy.
What are you guys favourite followers?
I also solo most of the time. I don't like followers mostly because they tend to get in the way of my sword swings.
Lydia <3
She is useful for storing all my shit I collect in dungeons!
none, they get killed too easily./runs away from giant and sees follower running toward giant, stops at whiterun and sees follower landing in front of me.
Yeah, that chick is cramping my style as well.
She always gets pwned in the face when I do a shout or launch an arrow at someone's knee. 10 monsters attack her, she sits down out of breath, one of my attacks just glances off her and she dies. I mean really. :/
I gave her ebony armour and now she "lasts much longer" while "blowing" as you guys put it. o.O
She also carries most of my loot.

The problem is that they don't level as you do. To get them to your level, ask them to leave then open console, clicl on them and type:
disable
Then type:
enable
And ask them follow you again, this will put them at your level and make them much more effective. I still use iona from riften. Thinking of switching to a mage follower.

Lydia carries everything... I mean EVERYTHING!Quote:

Everything I own or have stolen and can't sell, yet, is in her inventory. Needless to say I guard her like a hawk!
But it's fine, I <3 Lydia!
Haha yeah same here, they're my skyrim mule, need to find a follower that's good at sneaking
It looks as though I am one of the few who is not singing Skyrim's praises: I tried it on my friend's Xbox 360 this weekend, but didn't find it particularly enjoyable. I thought that the controls/interface were a nightmare and that the HDR was a trifle overdone.
Back to to Dragon Age for me. :o
