Figured as much.

Okay, so the game has been out for just under 8 months. The modding scene has had more than enough time to mature now, and it's high time I delved into it. Anybody have any recommendations for must-have mods?
Edit: Oh god, I take that back. It has had time to settle, but not mature. 7th mod on the top files list is a sex mod. Oblivion all over again.
People have been modding in naked women into games since games could be modded, it's not going to stop now, hardly a reason to skip a game. :)Quote:

Or you could use the Steam Workshop and not see them in the first place if they offend so much.
Wow, you guys can read a lot into a single comment. Where did I say I'm going to skip the game because of them? And how is it short-sighted? Oblivion reached a point where there were so many body/nude/sex mods for it that they might as well have renamed the game Barbie Dress-up. Skyrim seems to be going the same way.
Either way, I don't see the point of modding sex into a game like Skyrim. It's just kinda weird.
Well you said you were going to delve into the game then you said you take that back, so I guess it just seemed like you were no longer interested in playing. :)
As for nudie mods I agree with you, I see zero point in having that in your game. Ok maybe not ZERO point since some of the nude models do actually look better when worn with some of the skimpier/form fitting armour models but yeah some of those armours also get pretty stupid.
It's short-sighted because you labelled the entire Skyrim modding community immature on the basis of a few adult mods, which are in the minority among the thousands of normal modifications out there. (Same with Oblivion, are you saying there weren't numerous brilliant non-sex mods made for this game?)
Anybody know of a mod that can handle the save files/profile better like for instance Mass Effect style and not.
Seeing as I have 6 Characters and have not played in a while and can't remember what save to use.
Nvm found one that works.

So, I want to play some Dawnguard, but $20 is really, really expensive for DLC. Is it worth it or should I rather wait for a sale?
According to stuff I've read it's mostly just more of the same, nothing special. So if you are bored of the original game and have done everything there is to do in the game and still want more, then get the DLC, but for most people $5-$10 is probably a better price from the content.
Ah, in that case I'll give it a skip until it drops a bit. Was more curious about what it adds to the game, but if it's largely more of the same then $20 isn't really worth it.
It adds a couple of new areas and a faction quest line of similar length to the original factions.
Yeah, but I was hoping it would do for Skyrim kinda what The Missing Link did for Human Revolution. Spicing up the gameplay a bit and improving on it. It would be nice to see an Elder Scrolls game that implements cause and effect and true branching storylines like New Vegas did.
*me brushes away dust and cobwebs*
EEEEEKK!!!! You guys have aged horribly!
So, Special Edition is on us, after watching this vid, I think I might just give it a whirl!

Downloaded and checked out the intro sequence this morning. The volumetric fog is nice. Just wish they updated the character models. The Bosmers from ESO look way better.
Skyrim SE is "good", but not R650 worth of "good".

First mod i've downloaded for SE.
Skyrim Original Audio Assets for SSEQuote:
If your like me and many others you have realized the audio quality for Skyrim Special Edition is a lot lower. That is because Bethesda in their infinite wisdom decided to compress the audio files into .xwm instead of keeping the .wav uncompressed files. This mod fixes that issue by following the steps a Reddit user TI36X posted.
I couldn't resist and bought it on the PS store this morning. Actually quite excited to get back into it.

Just looking at Steam specials and wondering. If I now go and purchase the remaining DLC's to Skyrim, will I automatically get the upgraded version?
Unfortunately not:
This from a post on the Steam Community from one of the Bethesda reps: Click hereQuote:
Eligible Skyrim purchasers include:
Anyone that owns Skyrim Legendary Edition on Steam.
Anyone that owns Skyrim and all three DLCs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn) on Steam.
To ensure eligibility, you must own all Skyrim content on Steam on or before October 28th.
Ok scratch that idea.... so what game is up next :p
