That's a pretty damn decent number of players for a Beta test.
I daresay they might have reasonable players to start with.
Only time will tell if they can hang on to those players...
Well, that's the trick, isn't it? Hanging on to them.
So far end content is my biggest curiosity but even then, the replayability of the different classes is hugely appealing to me.
It'll be up to BioWare/EA to determine how they hang on to us after the first three months and based on my experience with the beta, I really hope they manage to pull it off. It's a universe I'd very much like to spend oodles and oodles of time in :D
I so wanted to see this game first hand but when i saw the download size amounted to 13GB i decided not to go for it
I really can't decide which way I'm leaning on this one anymore. At first it looked like it would be the "be all and end all" of MMO's but after reading some of the more recent beta reviews it seems it just more of the same boring stuff with the added bonus of fully voiced quests (which is a BIG bonus). WIll have to wait and see. Hopefully with such a huge beta testing pool they can iron out the problems well in advance of release.
You left out the bit where dialogue choices have an impact on your character and the outcome of the quest/story.
I'd say that's pretty unique in the world of MMOs. Best of BioWare RPGs with what works in MMOs. Pretty decent, methinks.
I'll admit that as much as I loved the beta the true test will be end game content and the ever present "what now?" factor. At least there's a lot of replayability with different classes and factions.
