Rate the Last Game You Played

Last game I finished was The Last of Us - 10/10

I did not encounter any glitches or technical issues while playing it. The story is absolutely amazing, acting brilliant and the character development was spot on.

I've read many reviews and watched YouTube clips and reviews on this game and most everyone says it's a great game but you must really experience it for yourself. There are many little things in the game that really make it stand out and serves to draw you into the world and the story. Diaries that you pick up in abandoned houses tell stories of the people that either died there or tied to find sanctuary in another place. There are little bits of dialogue between the characters you play that also gives them "life" and it makes you care for them.

This is a longish game and well worth every Rand spent. Now on to the MP. :)

Spec Ops: The Line

There is a few games that when they are done, they leave you wonder about them. Yes this is a shoot-by-wire and yes it is a bit generic, but apart from all of that you might find it to be a tad different from what you've played so far concerning the norm.

This is going to be stuck in my head for a while, the story, the actions and what the fuck really happened. It has four endings with one of them being truly chilling if you think about it.

My total playtime was bout 10 hours which doesn't make it that long, but really you don't need an 100 hour game to tell a good story or at least throw a spanner in your wheels.

TLDR: Play it, its different.

Fallout: New Vegas

I liked it more than Fallout 3 and it is a good game. However I would have done more side quests and just continued playing if it wasn't for some bugs and design choices that made me just want to finish it in the end. I really wanted to join with the NCR but was denied the chance just because of the sequence in which I did quests. So silly. And the game crashed so often it was annoying. At one point I couldn't continue and had to use the console to get an NPC allow me to get further in the game.

The game would have been awesome if it wasn't for that.

Saints Row 4 - 7/10
It's a decent game. Got some comedy and some very funny references and the superhero aspect is quite cool. Glad I played it, but not really interested in playing it again. Well, maybe if I try co-op.
I must say though, for me SR3's intro gameplay is still one of the most awesome intros for a game... So I didn't think they were gonna beat that with SR4. The overall game was pretty decent though.

Saw you were playing that often and was wondering how you were doing. The game takes ages to complete. The game crashes are annoying though and some of the bugs were horrible. I remember in the one DLC I had to use the cheat to walk through walls in order to finish just because I did something wrong at the start of the DLC. I was not impressed.

It really is a shame that it's so buggy. Even with a mod that supposedly fixes all the bugs. Eh, it took so many months to finish. I'm so glad that I've got some holiday time now so that I can play some games. :D

Monkey Island 2: Special Edition

I used to love adventure games back in school. Monkey Island especially had a special place in my heart. These days I really find it hard to play adventure games though. As much as I want to love them they really are a chore to play. :) Oh well, still enjoyed it.

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening (360)

Wow. I just love BioWare games. Dragon Age: Origins were great and so is the expansion. Dragon Age is the kind of game that I can just play forever. It's a shame that people generally didn't like the DA 2. Will try it soon though.

And the holiday! How great is it to finally have time to play games! I'm hogging this thread as I'm going through my backlog. Just so happy right now. :D

Mass Effect 3

It took a long time for me to complete (54 hours according to Origin, but I think their sense of time is like their sense of pricing: Shaky.)

Anyway, the combat is very good for what is an RPG at its heart. The story is good (not excellent, mind) with some parts falling below what I grew to expect from the previous installments.

What I liked:
The combat was for me the best in the series thus far. Also the weapon and power upgrades was fun tinkering with. Some missions had epic set-pieces that will be hard to forget. But...

What I didn't like:
The script. Story was good enough but the dialog was really cringe worthy at times (especially when Shepard got horny). Not the voice acting, mind you, but the script the actors had to deal with and the facial expressions of the characters at times... weird.

Final verdict:
I'm glad I got it on a sale. I would have felt a little bit cheated paying full price but the final few missions get things right and it gives closure to the story of Shepard.

Dust: An Elysian Tail

Old School non violent platform/adventure/rpg , thoroughly enjoyed playing this good story really fun gameplay,if you're looking for a button mashing extravaganza you're in for a treat as you obliterate enemies with your sword and spell mixes.

Batman: Arkham City

Even better than Arkham Asylum and that says a lot! When I started playing I didn't enjoy it that much but the further I got the more I loved it. The ending was brilliant!

After Batman and Catwoman I started playing Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC but it just put me off and I ended not finishing it. In my opinion the game should have ended with Batman and Catwoman. The voice of Batman in the DLC doesn't even sound right.

Oh well, as for the game itself? A definite must play!
