Black Ops Single Player
It was a good campaign as you can expect from any of the COD games. This time around it was a lot more gritty than the previous installments. Black Ops had a lot of moments which reminded me of the first COD games. Like the Stalingrad battle in Call of Duty and the plane mission in Call of Duty 2. However this campaign is a lot more story based with lots of cutscenes in between. Also, the battles sometimes feel a bit short compared to the other games. Just as you start getting into it, a cutscene will happen, but at least they're well done and enjoyable to watch.
I was expecting a bit more from the infamous chopper mission. Very short and not all that engaging. Maybe a little too easy as well.
The gameplay is very fun though. The weapons feel solid, kills feel satisfying and fun and the sound in the game is very well done. The voice acting is brilliant, especially in the interrogation scenes. The overall action in the game is a fun experience.
The story has a nice twist, but it's not something that hasn't been done before so as it starts unwinding it's pretty clear what's going to happen.
All in all it was a fun game to play although it felt a tad too short. Like all the COD games, it certainly has some replay value and I will eventually play through it again, but first it's time to dig in to the MP, once they sort out all the issues of course..
So I'd say 9/10.
