Hi guys,
I need to get myself a new rig, but have been out of the loop for a while regarding the latest technology available. I need something that can handle some serious gaming for at least a couple of years and have some good upgrade potential. I would prefer to stay around 10,000, but would consider up to 15,000 depending.
Hope you can help ;)

Well, just the case and everything in it will be new. So most important would be motherboard, graphics card and processor. Especially the motherboard is normally a critical choice.Quote:

I agree with Joker here, i was looking into a 10k upgrade aswell, the 2500k chip is definitely a good way to go with all the reviews about how much this chip can be overclocked, I also would consider getting an Asus ROG m/b although there are a couple good m/b's on the market. I was thinking of getting the 570gtx although ill wait and see what happens next year when the time to upgrade gets closer.Quote:

Joker is offering a good service from recommending a system to building it well with his knowledge and expertise.
Then some other dude (average south african) offers the best deal (really? Cause he didnt actually offer all the actually important things)
Pay the guy that helped you along the way not the guy that offered you the final product as you the purchaser are stealing (morally not legally) if you use the expertise of someone and then ditch them. But also you will be best looked after using the guy that has already invested time into you.
It grinds my gears as i have had many people ask me for quotes and ditch me right at the end of the deal.
Anyway, not aimed at joker or the original poster but guys that offer " the best price" or those that accept it after asking others' help. :(
