You'll have a couple of hundred megs worth of updates to download as well ... seems they make a lot of changes between betas

Pre-ordered a CE Aion about 3-4 weeks back.
I will wait on release then just update then. There is no huge rush to play, even though a few weeks ago my temperament would suggest otherwise :p
I got a liiiiiiitle too worked up trying to play in the Beta *cough*
My only problem with it is the world instances/channels, similar to what they done to Age of Conan- which made me quit it in the end. But I'm not sure to what extent it is, as I heard from someone on the net that it is only for lower levels.
My other concern is that there's no where locally where I can pre-order! If I order from US, it's going to take like 2-3 weeks to get here after release :(
You can pre-order from BT games if I don't have it wrong. There must be somewhere, I know of a couple of blokes who have pre-ordered it already.
Actually, while I'm at it ... here's the linky
Must be painful playing on US times. I used to play WoW on a US server and it killed me having raids start at about 2-3am SA time.
I used to swear I would never play on EU servers but I quickly changed my mind when I found how amazingly convenient it is. It is impossible to properly play on US servers in SA unless you become nocturnal and have a super flexible lifestyle.
And as far as instancing goes, yeah I do agree, I much prefer open seamless worlds, but in reality it is not as bad as some people make it out to be - instancing that is. Most MMO's use it to varying degrees, of which Guild Wars is the WORST.
I quit AoC because of its Beta quality at release, and Funcom who really do not give a crap about their customers (the 1st year anniversary event was perfect testament to that!)
I'm worried this heap of a PC isn't going to run it lol :( It's struggling with WoW of all things these days.
So depressing...
Haha you sound like me.
The only reason I played on US was that I could not wait for an EU release, which if I recall was almost a year after US. I struggled through those raid times, but it caught up after a few months and I had to rethink my plan (never again).
@Lydon
As far as I know Aion is a little more intensive than WoW, but it is not a PC killer from everything I have read, it is pretty scalable.
It's going to have to scale pretty low xD
