I wonder if it's only US invites at the moment. I see the post for the start of beta on the US forums, but not on the EU forums yet.

Those interested in downloading the BETA EU client solong while you wait for your Beta Invite download the following:

Once downloaded rename the .exe to something like "World of Warcraft Beta.exe" otherwise you will get a error regarding your internet connection fails :)
And then just double-click and download/install!
As far as I know they're sending out the invites in batches, so even the guys who signed up for a year pass will not necessarily all receive their invite in one go.
