*Cough* We are GMT + 2, so 9 + 2 = 11 *Cough*Quote:
What’s GOG.com got planned for 9.00 AM GMT tomorrow morning?
Well, you’ll have to wait until 10 AM local time to find out,
:D
Are they only half a digital download platform atm? :)Quote:
My guess? They’re going to be launching a full digital download platform like Steam, including new games.
They've previously announced that they are going to be selling new games on gog.com, I would guess then that this announcement will actually detail this or possibly even launch it completely.
I'd be happy if they simply announced they're fixing the GOG downloader. Ridiculous download manager that needs to be babysat the whole time to ensure it finishes its download, making it useless if you want to download something overnight.
I've downloaded the witcher, BG2 and Planescape on various machines with no problems. You seem to have issues with downloaders? :) First Gamersgate and now GoG.
Nah, Gamersgate's downloader issue was a server-side issue. They took their South African servers down for maintenance shortly after I finally managed to get them to take a look at it. :p
The gog downloader, on the other hand, continuously pauses my downloads for no apparent reason. I've spoken to a few other people on their forums who experience the same issue, but nobody is really sure why it happens. Most popular theory seems to be that it pauses whenever something else starts hogging bandwidth (automatic updates, etc) or when the connection experiences a dip in download speed.
So solution, don't download porn while downloading from gog?
What if its Steam support.
Heh, it would make sense if it didn't pause while I wasn't using the line at all. Like when I'm asleep.
