Max Payne 3 PC system requirements unveiled
Can you run Rockstar’s slow-mo blockbuster?
Those are the widest varying requirements I've ever seen.
2GB – 16GB of RAM
NVIDIA 8600 GT 512MB VRAM - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB VRAM
Also 35GB HDD Space? Wow!
Holy damn!
Playtime is over people. We need to start getting some serious hardware. :D

Sorry but I put these requirements onto mygaming before you so I think I deserve the Noddy badge here :p
35GB and I'm assuming it's not going to have loads and loads of content. I find it bizarre that Skyrim is a massive world and about 6GB and this comes out at 35GB. What could result in the game being so enormous?
LOL at those rec specs xD That said...drop me a pm if you're keen on getting a RIG that'll "max" Max Pain :D
I am so keen to run it now, my main rig will run it into the ground no problem lol
If you have a 60GB SSD sorry for you.
Buddy of mine just bought a 7870 OC for R3400, that a good price?
(Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 OC)
2GB-16GB of ram..... WHOOOOOOOAAAAAT!!!!!???
Talk about a big gap in requirement difference between Minimum and Recommended.
I never read the what the min is its usually pathetic requirement... but upon reading the recommend I was shocked, cause i dont meet those... everything in the recommend is new tech, have they optimised the game already to run on this hardware? Its insame the space is not a problem... But seriously, the specs isnt... I feel like i am in serious need of an ugrade that is two generations ahead of what is available now.
Yeh, dunno if it's just Rockstar though. Remember the insane reqs for GTA4 when it came out? And that was allegedly for "future-proofing" the game, but man, was it a shit port (initially). I really hope this is going to be a decent port with those reqs. I'm looking forward immensely to this game.
Then by your logic Mass Effect 1 is a Xbox360 exclusive, which it isn't, because it's available on PC as well.
Regardless of what it was "announced as", it ended up not being a PC exclusive not even a 6 months later. At this point in time, it definitely isn't a PC exclusive. Outdated information isn't worth anything in a debate.

Yet you keep debating..lol
Anyway who cares, I am really amped for this...So hoping it pushes my new monster a bit...Honestly not even BF3 gives it a push lol
Also hoping this launches as a pc game that gets ported to console, so we don't sit with crap that needs patching like Batman ac.
lol. Whatever man, I was simply pointing out the facts. I guess it's easier to back out of a debate than admitting you're wrong. :)
Either way, the fact that MP3 supports DX11 + Tessellation out of the box should give most machines quite a run for their money. I know my setup(2500k, GTX560ti) gets killed running Crysis 2 with tessellation enabled. So I'm not even going to attempt running MP3 with Tessellation enabled, regardless of how beautiful it will be.

Max Payne is a third-person shooter video game developed by Finnish developers Remedy Entertainment and published by Gathering of Developers in July 2001 for Microsoft Windows. Ports created later in the year for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and the GameBoy Advance were published by Rockstar Games. A Macintosh port was published in July 2002 by MacSoft in North America[1] and by Feral Interactive in the rest of the world. There were plans for a Dreamcast version of Max Payne, but they were canceled due to the discontinuation of the console.[
When I get home tonight I'll look through my pc format collection and get the article out of it as well.Quote:
Max Payne, without a doubt, was one of the most highly awaited PC games of 2001. When the Xbox version was announced, many gamers wondered how the game would run on Microsoft's console. The game has arrived, and it is safe to say it has lost very little in the translation. Greg Kasavin gives you the lowdown in this video review
lol. Which part of this post :
says anything different from what you're quoting? In fact go have a look at the source you're quoting, on the right hand side of the page all the little dates are laid out nicely for you to consume.

The fact remains, it was a pc exclusive and then only later in the year was it announced that they would port it to console.
Again pretty much exactly the same thing as Witcher 2, PC Exclusive later ported to consoles.
Now I am leaving this thread lol seriously no need to continue such a useless debate.
