Is there a way to get a Dota 2 beta key or something. I really would appreciate one, all my friends are playing yet i can't get one!!! I did the steam survey like 6 months ago and nothing yet?

Well, their value is pretty crappy on the Steam trade at the moment, so if I were you I'd make a thread on the Steam trade forums. Say you want a Dota 2 key, and ask what someone wants in return.
CSGO beta invites can fetch games to the value of between $40-$60, and just yesterday I saw a trader trade 3 Dota 2 giftable copies for a CSGO beta invite.
Some people have way too much money to spend on stuff that is more like a demo version. I don't think I would ever pay for a beta inviteQuote:

Well, it's not really "demo", so to speak. The game is pretty much fully functional. Not all of the heroes are there yet, but the majority is. There are not really any major bugs. It's DOTA, and enough of it. So I would have actually thought buying a "beta key" is fully worth it.Quote:

no I agree I don't want to pay for a beta and the fact that the game is going to be f2p (well sort of) makes it worse. Filled in the survey steam plugin thingy from dota 2 in nov or dec? can't remember and thought I should just be patient well here I am May and nothing :cry: and now it looks like the game release is going to be pushed back to the q4. Getting desperate haha
