I just bought a LED TV whats the difference between LED and HDE?
Its only some movies and spartacus http://www.newshost.za.net/pic/smilies/cool.gif ... i was planning on watching stargate universe in HD... thought it might be cool so maybe i will.
I have 13 episodes of spartacus (think thats till last released) and that takes already 22gigs but space currently not an issue.
do you mean difference between LCD and HD? - which u cant really compare in the first place.
Its LCD, LED and Plasma really
facepalm
I am a noob at TVs :)
But thx for answering
Becuase my LED TV cuase 18K and the LCD of the same size cost 12K
At Makro
I still have to start watching fringe. I have both seasons and still never watched it lol and S3 is already gonna come out.
:) No probs
Plasma:
Achieves better and more accurate colour reproduction than LCDs
Produces deep, true blacks allowing for superior contrast ratios
Use more electricity, on average, than an LCD TV (NEGATIVE)
It sort of causes high interference with other signal devices.. AM radio FM radio etc.
LCD is very much what u can expect from using LCD monitors. LCD still have the HD support 720p etc. So most people prefer LCD for where we are currently in the market. LED will probably become the next standard in the short-medium term future.
LED I dont know a lot about sadly. They are the newest to the market.
Found this on Wiki
more people should probably add to what ive said here.. or go google a bit. :)Quote:
Differences between LED-backlit and CCFL-backlit LCD displays
LED-backlit LCD TVs differ from conventional CCFL-backlit LCD TVs in the following:
* They can produce an image with greater dynamic contrast compared with CCFL-backlit LCD TVs.[5]
* With Edge-LED lighting they can be extremely slim. Current models on the market can be less than one inch thick.[5]
* They can offer a wider color gamut, especially when RGB-LED backlighting is used.[citation needed]
* Lesser environmental pollution on disposal.[5]
* Higher cost due to current market product placement.[5]
* Generally have a lower power consumption in the realm of 20-30%.[5]
