Vs steam maybe but the concept is still a Failure in my books. I want to play my games not wait around while you run in circles achieving nothing.
LOL Dude, when last have you used Steam? Your comment isn't even opinion, it's just plain wrong.

The only reason Gamers consider Origin a fail is because its compared to Steam. Everyone forgets that once upon a time steam was the platform bad memes where made of....

But it got better and is now gamers everywhere, except the poor noob that posted above, sings its praises.
Since EA & Steam aren't the same company expecting EA to launch a fully awesome steam like platform without a rocky starting period is like expecting the new person just starting in the office to know all the B.O.P as well as someone who has been there 20 years. It just doesn't work that way.
Don't get me wrong I don't hate Origin (I don't like it either), but compared to Steam it's not very good. Saying that Origin is better than Steam is a fallacy.
Steam has the better features by far, but I've had almost no issues with Origin whereas I never stop having issues with Steam. I've never waited more than 10 seconds for a game to launch on Origin, or even more than a minute for Origin itself to launch.
Steam frequently takes up to 5 minutes to launch, and launching my games are rarely instantaneous.
Valve just needs to sort out their platform's technical issues. Some of which have been there for the last few years.
I agree with Omega in that you can't expect a new platform to be as good as a well established one but what annoys me about Origin is just the lack of progress. When you compare Origin from 2 years ago to now there is virtually no difference, when you compare Steam 2 years ago to now, you get the mobile client, remote management, steam workshop, steam trading, steam wallet and free to play integration.
It just feels like they made the decision to force all their games on Origin before they actually started developing it as a digital distribution platform.
I feel that they simply shouldn't have release it yet. It's obviously not done yet. The only reason they released it is because of their huge games that came out and they found a way to force people to use it. I will not forgive them for that. Forcing me, I reaaaally hate that
