Awesome its -1 here atm. But no snow.
Pretoria is kak cold, but clear blue skies, so I doubt anything would happen here :*(
Thats some pretty hectic Snowfall for SA. Id compare it to the Snow Fall we got here in London at the beginning of this year/ end of last year.
Here is pictures from My flat and on the way to work from Dec/Jan

From our flat window.
I guess this means I cant mock Saffers for not knowing what cold is anymore.
I must work in the sunniest part of Joburg. I also want snow. :(
My friends in Vanderbijlpark all uplifted awesome pics of the snow there. I'm hoping that the same will still happen here.

We had a tractor clearing the snow from the roads
Yay we had proper snow here by me for about 15 minutes. :) First time in my adult life that I've seen snow. Pretty crazy.
Today's not so exciting, just cold, wet and miserable in JHB. And probably due to the high heater demand, a huge area around my house had a power failure yesterday, so all the traffic lights were out (causing chaos in the traffic), and we were sans power all night. Thankfully our heater and stove run on gas.
Seems you are at the same point & achieved the same revelation I got back in 2010 when me & the Mrs went to Germany for Christmas and most of Europe had high levels of snow fall. Its pretty the first day or 2, all oooo and aaahhhh and wow, after that comes the soggy, cold mess that the white stuff becomes when it warms up just enough for it to start meting. Something I noticed was how little things non-snowfall countries wouldn't think off can have a huge impact on everyday stuff. Like the black muk cars throw up on the roads that make you windows so dirty you cant see through them and then the water in your wipers freeze because the cars in SA, for example, dont have heaters for that water. Luckily places like Europe or at least cities dont have to worry about power outages like in SA. Though in 2010 we did have issues with deliveries to supermarkets not being able to deliver.
