Out of the 3 F2P MOBA titles, LoL is most likely the most popular due to 2 factors: peasants with coal powered PC's can play it and it is noob friendly (no gold loss when killed).
HoN is ripoff of DotA and Dota2 still needs to get out of beta (with some SA servers, the lag is too insane to consider it playable right now).
Nail on the head (noob friendly) biggest problem with trying to teach someone hon or dota is to that the game has to many varibles to learn and nt dying being the obvious one is actually really hard for alot of people ( most of my friends :p )
