And that's fine. But again, why the need for an attention-seeking tantrum? Why not just cleanly remove him from your friends list and get on with your life?
I have one or two people on my friends list (on Steam, specifically) whom I've never even spoken to. I have three, I think, I speak to once in a blue moon (MOnk is one of these).
It's not like Steam is Facebook or some other platform in which you keep personal information and photos (and even there, people don't have a clue how to keep their information safe...).
It's a silly thing to get upset over.
Personally, as much as I used to love talking to folks on IMs as a teenager and even in my earlier twenties, I just hate it now. If someone doesn't bother to strike up a conversation with me I'm definitely not going to wet myself over it and, certainly, I hope that they are as understanding when I don't feel like talking to them.
It's nothing personal, it's just the way things are.
What I'm trying to get across to you is to just relax and stop taking life, people and everything so seriously.
Not everyone is a verbatim copy of another person, not everyone likes being pestered every five seconds and not everybody either wants to or is able to respond immediately.
With Steam, especially, I find it interesting to see what achievements other folks have, but I really, really don't want to be bugged on it; especially when I'm playing a game. So yes, there are times when I will flat-out ignore someone. Not to be rude but because I'm having "me time" now and I'll respond to them when I can. Unless it's urgent... which is pretty fucking unlikely.
So... yeah. Protip: relax and remember that not everyone thinks/feels the same way you do about... well... anything, really. And stop allowing your own personal insecurities to jade your perceptions of other people. Often those perceptions just aren't true.
What exactly is it that makes you think I'm not relaxed? My only "reaction" was to Monk posting accusations against me, without any context. Would you be totally fine with that? All I was doing was defending myself, but I've realized that I don't have to, the evidence speaks for itself.
Why aren't you giving this speech to Monk? He's the one that started this ridiculous thread. :P
So we're still talking about this.

Because I figure that in future you might just be able to avoid getting your feelings hurt by non-events whereas I suspect this is a lesson MOnk learned a long time ago.
As for what exactly it is that makes me think that you're not relaxed... Just your tone, really. And that you seem to be taking this all a bit too personally (a trend starting with MOnk and continuing into this thread).
You are, of course, entitled to defend yourself... I just think that such things require a measure of tact as well. If defending yourself involves being provoked inside someone else's trap, then you've already lost and could've saved some face by having avoided it in the first place.
Just my take on all this :)
Oh for fuck sakes... Fine!
