I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think you can gift Steam keys from Humble Bundle anymore. In fact I'm pretty sure you don't get keys at all and instead you have to sign-in to Steam through the Humble Bundle site and it automatically redeems the games to your account for you. :(

You can, in fact they made it easier for you, by giving you a url that you can mail off to the people.

have you tried using different browsers? my chrome tends to do that, IE always works

Yep, tried different browsers, different PC's, even the Steam app. I DID get a response from Steam, though. In Russian. Guess they figured I might be one because of all the Kosaks I played with in Dota. :p
