Building my first PC. Do I have everything needed?

Awe,

So i'm building my first PC for gaming on my own and kind of nervous!

It is definitively not top of the range, but want to hear what you guys think about the setup?

And if I'm missing components. (I will be overclocking "whistling: )

• Corsair Gaming Series GS800 - 80 PLUS Certified Power Supply
• Intel Core i5-3570K Quad-Core 3.4GHz LGA1155 Boxed Processor (Ivy Bridge)
• Asus P8Z77-M Z77 LGA1155 DDR3 PCI-E x16 CrossfireX (Ivy Bridge)
• Corsair Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance CPU Cooler
• Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX650 Ti DirectCU II 1GB GDDR5 192-bit PCI-E x16
• Western Digital WD20EARX Caviar Green 2TB SATA3 Intellipower Variable RPM
• Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 Vengeance - 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit

Is it complete? (obviously this is excluding external devices)

What do you guys think? :wtf:

That card is weak. What resolution are you planning on running? Also why 1600 frequency? 1800 is just a tiny bit more expensive. Why do you want to overclock...? That cpu is more than enough to handle almost any card, you will just reduce the lifetime and suck more power.

Definitely think about a bigger card and wait for Joker

Agreed go for a bigger card and higher Mhz ram.. biggest mistake i made was getting 1600MHz ram

Especially with the concept of overclocking

Make sure u get some nice thermal paste as well most people say it isnt necesary but those few degrees make a huge difference especially when u get to the higher clocks.

800Watt PSU for that system is a waste, rather get a 550/600W.

Get a HD7850 or a GTX 660 atleast, your GTX 560 is a good card if you plan to keep it below 1080p resolutions.

Also recommend Std. DDR3-1600 it's R600 for 1 8GB stick of Corsair Value Select, as opposed to your choice of ~R900 a stick.

Unless you plan to OC (which you are) I think that H100i is overkill get something like a Coolermaster Hyper T4 CPU Cooler can get very good air coolers before you go with liquid cooling.

Although this is all just my constructive criticism take it or leave it. :)

I think if he is overclocking he should keep the 800watt although yes i agree it is a lot but currently i am having issues with psu cause i bought the "right" size.

Rather future proof your rig :)

And the close loop wc is the way forward if u arent keen to import custom watercooling.

You just wont get the same results on air.

Also make sure you do your research in terms of overclocking so as not to damage your components :)

Going to be a little hard to future proof at the moment with Haswell launching in June with a new socket type (LGA1150) LGA1155 will slowly be filtered off the market. That is not to say that Ivy Bridge is not going to be future proof, I still have a old i5 760 and it's playing everything I throw at it. Otherwise I will always stick to stock speeds and know that I wont have troubles later down the line with warranty's if something happens.
