So I was wondering if there are any metalheads here on mygaming. And when I say metal I do not mean Metallica, that is not metal, that is freaking pop-rock.
I mean bands like Carcass, Chimera, As I Lay Dying, Norther, For Today, Dark Tranquility, Kalmah, Gardenian, Parkway Drive, Insomnium, Soul Embraced, etc., etc. Real metal bands as in death metal, metalcore, deathcore and all the of the other genres. Anyone here listen to any (or similar) of these bands?
I'm a pretty serious metalhead, although I think attitudes like "that is not metal, that is freaking pop-rock" are pointlessly divisive and kinda childish. Metal is metal.

Lol, I just don't like metallica ever since they went commercial. Their first albums were and always will be legendary, but these days they are all about the money not the music.
Holy craaaap!!! I'm so jealous of you, you have seen a lot of my favourite bands live. I would give anything to see Amon Amarth or Dark Tranquiliy live, but I have to settle for live DVD's :(

i'm all for metal except those start of with good deep riff and goes into some squeaky voice like punk rock/metal. also like symphony metal, nightwish pretty good in that division, but my soft spot is things like iron maiden, manowar or judas priest.
