I cannot say I'm looking forward to playing SR4. It looks like SR:TT in a different wallpaper, with superpowers and a night-night cycle.

Yeah, I'm ok with that. More over-top-crazy action. I don't mind if they don't do major graphics improvements or anything... If they have a good formula, I don't see why they should change it. If I get 10 - 20 hours of entertainment from it, it would be worth it.

On my way to get Splinter Cell. So amped to play tonight but wife wants to go out and get dronkies:( she's had a party tsunami brewing all week.
Superpowers? Slight gameplay change (which, from the video reviews I've seen thus far, affects the gameplay in a big way).
The story? Very different from any Saints Row game in the series , it may not be unique in the Gamesphere (Another Dee copyright :p), but it is unique within the Saints Row franchise.
The level design? It seems to have been designed with the super powers addition in mind, along with the aliens (scaling), which implies change (not necessarily big changes).
I don't know man, this seems like a game that is different from Saints Row The Third, yet it still retains most of what makes it a Saints Row game.
Changes in how you play the game, and changes in the story and its scope. Any more changes could probably result in a new game, that wouldn't be a Saints Row game.
... Not trying to convince you to look forward to it, just questioning your assertion that it's the same game as its predecessor.
Let's just say Saints Row: The Third was/is where I end.
Very valid points made, as per usual. I think my opinions are solely based on what I would've wanted to see, rather than embrace it for what it's actually worth.
You're a gang leader and President of the U.S.A... what's not to like. It's like a dream.
