Worth it?
in my opinion that is worth it...
Here's the same monitor for R300 less (plus you don't pay delivery).
s23b370h at Takealot
I see there is another Samsung 23" LED for R2100 (the s23b300b) so you may want to consider that as well. I think the only diff is the contrast ratio, but I'll leave it to you to research.

I paid less than R2000 (don't recall exact price) for my 23" LG 3D monitor. If 3D is not your thing, there is a 23" LG monitor with IPS display for the same price. I don't see them at takealot or rebeltech atm, but if you shop around I'm sure you'll find them if you are interested.
So R2650 is in my opinion a bit expensive.
don't need a ips panel, it's purely for gaming so ips offers not much.
Tank, you had a look at the AOC brand?
suggestions are welcome guys. budget is the R2,6k range.
so let rip :D
Was also going to mention the AOC brand.
I don't know which model but it's larger then one OP listed one for R2k with pretty much the same specs (27inch 1920x1080res 60hz 2ms response time)

Double edit:I'm getting very confused.Let me just double check when i get home.
Budget is R2,6k so ja
lol, im using a 40" hd one atm...
mah tv :D :D
I actually meant the response time, most decent new TV's come with 60hz.
Ideally you want a TV with 120hz refresh rate with around 2-4ms response time though they are fairly expensive.
Even TV's in the 9k range will have response times around 40ms which is fairly high.
Why not go for a 24"?

Pros:
- Dell's next business day 3 year warranty
- Adjustable Height
- Turn your screen 90 degree for reading
Cons:
- Does not have HDMI.
- Slightly thicker than the Samsung products
And while we are at it about TVs, here's one that doesn't cost an arm and partial liver, but delivers a decent refresh rate:

Putting my tv onto sports mode makes everything in-game look a million times better... (Clearer and better colors)
i dont like the feel of p[laying on it... there is too much info for your eyes to take and you get headaches rather quicker than on a monitor
i stopped after about 3 games of cod...
you can only use the 40" for consoles...
that would be a good sized monitor for a pc
Only? No. Have you tried things like wireless controllers and receivers?
With the xbox receiver/controller combo, I could add most sport games(fifa) as well as any fighter to this list and it'll be epic, exactly the same feel as a console.
i suck when i play with my xbox controller so i am not even gonna try
Which online shops stock AOC? Searched but cannot find it
