Rumours have started the M$ wants to buy Winamp. Considering how they handles Skype, it might not be an entirely bad thing..
And the name will suit them just fine... WinAmp... Windows Amp
I'm not surprised. Microsoft had a fair hand in destroying WinAmp and Netscape. They don't like competition.
Nooooooo! Been using WinAmp for 15 years! What am I going to use now? Not WMP! Foobar, not so nice.... Damn!
I also have been using WinAmp since v0.2x iirc (definately v0.something), before the public even knew what an MP3 was. Can't say I've ever felt the need to upgrade it, only grab the latest version on a fresh O/S install. So I'll be good with the final release for a few years, at least.
Winamp version 5.666 is the last one ever. Satan finally won!
See you all in hell!!!!!
