I ask these, 'cause my dad's paying for the goods and won't simply order from just any company claiming good services - especially not with regards to large sums of money at once.
Service was great, when ever I made a purchase, only problem I had once was a miscommunication where I got X colour instead of Y colour but I got the item so I didn't really bother me.Quote:

I don't think they ask for CC information and just email you their EFT details so you can use internet banking or do a cash deposit at the bank. Try to email them a Proof of Purchase to speed up the process.

My next best option is to go for a:
Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 OC 2GB DDR3.
Saw a video on YouTube where a guy is playing Crysis 3 on (Medium)(@ 1280x720 aka 720p), it runs very smooth. Now since my monitor is only supportive of resolutions up to 1360x768 (native), I reckon I should get decent performance stats with the games I have (e.g Skyrim, Dishonored, Far Cry 3 etc.).
Any opinions on this are welcome.
I'm not extremely knowledgeable, but if you spend a tiny bit more, you could get a GTX650. The price to permanence ratio for a GT640 just isn't worth it IMO, considering that for about R200 more you could get a 650. On AMD's side, you could get a HD7770 / R7 260X which is about the same price as the GTX650, but beats it in some games if I recall correctly.Quote:

The place where I'm going to buy my graphics asks R750 more(that's Gigabyte) for the GTX650 -- it's quite steep. Zotac GTX650 on the other hand is R550 more expensive than the GT640.
Basically what it'll come down to, is: if I can convince my dad to spend a few hundred more (and this is to be able to get the GT640).
This upgrade will be better than what I used to have - and that was my plan initially - to have my old PC back, but in proper working order, or have something better; just so that I can have a working gaming PC again. Anything that is better than my 8800GT will suffice. I do not know how much longer that card has to live until it gives in, and don't want to have to sit with the CPU's on-board graphics as a last resort. Unless it's not that bad.
Try getting msi r6850 cyclone ati card saw one on gumtree go second hand for 800 rand.

This thread is no longer applicable as my budget will only include a GPU or a tower case, and a tower case is more important.
